5 Comprehensive coverage We operate at all major Egyptian ports: Abu Qir Abur Qir port is located on the west coast of Abu Qir Bay and 20km North East of Alexandria. This port is mostly used by naval vessels, but does occasionally receive commercial activity. Adabiya Adabiya Port is located 10km from south of Suez and on the western shore of Suez Bay. Alexandria Alexandria is the main port in Egypt and handles three-quarters of Egypt s foreign trade. It is located on the north coast of Egypt and is 220km from Cairo. The port is divided into two harbours. The East harbour is shallow and is used for fishing vessels and the West harbour is used for commercial shipping. Damietta Damietta port is located 10km west of the Damietta branch of the Nile River and attracts smaller vessels within their 14 berths. El Dekheila El Dekheila port is recognised as an extension of Alexandria port and is located 7km west of Alexandria. Port Said Port Said is located on the north coast of Egypt and is considered one of the most important Egyptian ports in the Mediterranean Sea due to its geographical location. It is one of the entrances to the Suez Canal. Safaga The port of Safaga is located on the western shore of the Red Sea. Sidi Kerir The Sidi Kerir terminal is located 30 km west of Alexandria. Sokhna Port Sokhna Port lies approximately 30 nautical miles south from Suez, one of the entrances to the Suez Canal. It is located on the East Coast of the Gulf of Suez. Suez The port of Suez is one of the entrances to the Suez Canal and is located south of Port Said. It is mostly used as a waiting area for transiting vessels. El Arish The port of El Arish is located on the Mediterranean coast is approximately 200 km east of Port Said. When arriving between 2300hrs and 2400hrs such ships can join the tanker group against the payment of a surcharge equal of 5% of the normal transit dues with a maximum of SDR When arriving after 2400hrs and up to 0100hrs such ships can still join the tanker group against the payment of a surcharge equal to 10% of the normal transit dues with a maximum of SDR Vessels arriving after 0100hrs may join the northbound convoy, if traffic conditions permit, against the payment of a surcharge equal to 12% of the normal transit dues with a maximum of SDR Arrival limit 1st Convoy. Fixed arrival limit: 2300hrs South of lat N limited by long E. Movement of Group: From 0330hrs to 0800hrs.
