2 Family JOKER Schladming With the Family JOKER guests in Schladming, Rohrmoos and Pichl are offered a diversified program the whole week. With pony rides, archery, kids carpentry, trial course in rock climbing, adventure hike or kids afternoon there is a lot of activity and fun! To participate in the Family JOKER program an early registration with the tourist office Schladming is crucial (please check the detailed registration information at each item). If you already registered for a program and are not able to attend, please let us know in the tourist office Schladming ( ) Note: programme in German only! With the registration for any program in this folder the participants agree that there may be photo or video shootings by the tourist office or its partners and that these images and/ or videos will be used for marketing purposes. 3 Martina Draper Hopsiland Planai Since 1982 the World Cup mascot Hopsi is the hero of our small guests. Visit the funny rabbit in his adventurous home Hopsiland at Planai mountain! The short 1.5 km trail is suitable for prams and starts at the mountain terminal of Planai cable-car. Following Hopsi s tracks along the route you will find swings, slides, a ball path, climbing elements and a small water world which cares for refreshing fun on hot summer days! During the Austrian holidays there is even an additional activity programme for kids daily! Location: Planai mountain terminal, open daily during summer operation of Planai cable-car (adults) or (kids) for a round-trip ticket (included in Sommercard) Registration: No supervision, no registration necessary. 4 Marcel Kurz Kart-Race Schladming Open from mid of May to mid of October (from 28. June to 9. September open daily). Details about opening times and further info available at Do you feel a need for speed? Then our racy e-kart track in the garage at WM-Park Planai is the right thing for you. Make this special experience during your holiday and get the highspeed feeling with up to 70 km/h (6 adjustable levels) on the 300 m long race track with digital chronometry. Our tip: each Thursday every driver has the chance to win prizes in a raffle. Meeting point: Kart-Race Schladming WM-Park Planai, Coburgstraße 52 14,- for 8 minutes (net driving time) per run (15 % discount with Sommercard). Racing licence ( 1,-) and ski mask ( 2,-) necessary. Participants: from 9 years with a minimum height of 1.40 m, in company of an adult. Registration: No registration needed. 4

5 Dominik Steiner Dominik Steiner Wild Wild West, Seiterhof Each Monday afternoon we meet between 1:30 pm and 4 pm at the fireplace. We test our skills at hurling horseshoes and with bow and arrow and in between everyone has the chance to improve on their horseback riding skills. 6 6 Kids Afternoon, Waldhäuslalm Each Tuesday from 3 pm to 5 pm at Waldhäuslalm in Untertal. Baking, games, face-painting - that is only some of the things we experience at the kids afternoon. Meeting point: Waldhäuslalm Untertalstraße 100 4,- (included in Sommercard) Participants: no limit in terms of maximum number of participants or age Registration: No registration needed. 7 Dominik Steiner Trial Course in Rock Climbing, Gasthof Weiße Wand The intro course in rock climbing takes place each Tuesday at 10 am, 1 pm and 3:30 pm. The duration of the intro course is approximately 2 hours. Roped up and well protected with helmet and belt our little guests climb up the rocks. Our motto rock climbing learned easily. Meeting point: Gasthof Weiße Wand Untertalstraße 41 10,- (included in Sommercard) Participants: Minimum of 4, maximum of 8 kids per event; kids aged 6 to 10 years Registration: Tourist Office Schladming until 6 pm of the previous day In case the weather is bad, we meet at hotel Pichlmayrgut in Pichl 54, where we can use the indoor climbing wall. 7

8 Tourismusverband Schladming Family Adventure Hike Each Wednesday at 9:30 am we hike to picturesque Lake Duisitzkar. The medium hike along a forest lane and/or a hiking trail has a distance of approx. 3 kms and an elevation gain of 450 m participants should be able to hike this distance in a maximum of 2 hours. Bring sturdy footwear and dress according to the weather conditions. We recommend to bring a beverage bottle with a drink for the hike. At the lake there are two huts which offer refreshments: Fahrlechütte and Duisitzkarseehütte. At the lake we then collect firewood and cones for our campfire where we fry sausages. Later we have fun in nature and use natural materials to create a piece of natural art. Program approx. until 2:30 pm the way back is made with the group or individually. 9 Zeffererhof Kids Atelier Each Wednesday from 2 pm to 4 pm we experience colourful and creative hours at ARTelierzeffererHOF. Together we experiment with colours and shapes and paint a styrofoam sculpture with acrylic paint. In the end each child can take back home its own work of art. 10 Dominik Steiner Archery for kids Each Thursday at 10 am we are briefed by an expert on the training area and then range the woods where we find 3-D representations of rabbit, deer and bear. Besides the minimum age, kids should be able to draw a sport bow. Duration of programme: approx. 2 hours. 11 Tourismusverband Schladming Let s go to the farm! A small paradise - without borders! Experience the adventure of being on a farm each Thursday from 2:30 pm to 4:30 pm with all your senses. The animals want to get to know you, and you can pet and feed them. The area around the farm is pristine nature. Together we explore the diversity of the farm and sharpen our senses in the interplay with animals and nature. 12 Leitnerhof Dwarf Forest, Leitnerhof Each Friday from 10:00 am to noon we explore the dwarf forest around the Leitnerhof farm and get creative with moss, tree branches, cones, lichens and more. While we walk through the forest we collect those things and eventually build small, cosy houses for the spirits of the wood. Be creative and help the dwarf village come to life! 13 Dominik Steiner Kids Carpentry Each Friday from 1 pm to 3 pm. Drill, hammer, saw... as much as you can, there are no limits for your fantasy. Adviced by a professional, kids together with their parents create little works of art. To work with wood is fun for the whole family. Kids and adults discover their skills in this handcraft and timber cars, cubes, figures and abstract buildings. 14 Tourismusverband Schladming Plantschi s Lake Games Swimming Lake Pichl During the summer months of July and August each Friday Plantschi the marsh frog comes to the swimming lake in Pichl from 3 pm to 4:30 pm to play with the kids. Team spirit and quickness are necessary at Plantschi s Lake Games. Play, sport and fun at the swimming lake in Pichl! Meeting point: Swimming lake Pichl The entrance fee for the swimming lake is included in Sommercard. Participants: Kids aged 4 years and above, no limit in number of participants.
