Extreme caution required on descents 3.73 R on Rd (B3399) and immediate L onto Byway BS10 (Tennyson Trail) continue over Mottistone Down 6.65 R on Rd (Lynch Lane) and immediate L onto Byway. Route crosses with on-road route at this point 8.39 L onto woodland Byway BS4 (still Tennyson Trail) 9.13 Continue on Tennyson Trail over Bowcombe Down on Byways N139, N136a, N128 & N123 all $ Carisbrooke. 12 THIS EVENT IS ORGANISED BY VOLUNTEERS IN AID OF THE OF THE UK REGISTERED CHARITY Hope & Aid Direct Registered Charity Number Delivering Aid to Victims of War and Poverty Hope and Aid Direct is a volunteer network of individuals within the UK. Since 1999 they have been making a difference to the lives of people in the Balkans who continue to suffer as a result of conflict. Many fragile communities still live on the edge of despair with massive unemployment and an ever-increasing gap between those who have, and those who have nothing. The situation for many in this region is becoming even more critical as economic decline reduces the opportunity for these proud people to help themselves. The charity raises money in the UK and uses it to source and transport food, clothing, tools, educational and medical materials. Through two annual convoys volunteers deliver this humanitarian aid directly into the hands of refugees, displaced persons or those at risk. Their focus is currently in Kosovo although aid has also been delivered to Croatia, Bosnia, Serbia, Romania, Montenegro, Sri Lanka (post Tsunami, Syria and most recently Philippines (post Typhoon). They work in conjunction with both local in-country charities and international agencies to identify those families, individuals and institutions most in need. Hope and Aid Direct is a UK Registered Charity it has no paid staff, only volunteers and is not affiliated to any particular organisation, religion or ethnic group. Their motto is simple: 'We take aid, not sides'
