3 Late Summer Holiday Weekend Service Levels This section shows the level of service that can be expected on each day of the Late Summer Holiday weekend. Many long-distance services are expected to be very busy and advance seat reservations are strongly advised where they are available. Saturday 24 August A modified Saturday service operates on most routes. Major engineering work also affects services in several areas. Monday 26 August Special timetables operate on all routes, many based on Saturday or Sunday schedules. Some minor stations and routes normally closed on Sundays are also closed today.
