3 ROAD CLOSURES & MAP Road closures will go in from 07:00am on Sunday 25 th August and should ve all been removed by 03:00/04:00am on Tuesday 27 th August The A40 Westway will remain open throughout but nearby main roads including Harrow Road, Holland Park Road, Edgware Road and Scrubs Lane are all likely to be busier than usual Below is a map detailing the areas affected (map courtesy of OpenStreetMap) LEGEND Road Closures Boundary Boundary Route of Carnival Procession Underground Stations 3

5 TRANSPORT FOR LONDON (ENGINEERING, INDUSTRIAL ACTION & ALTERATIONS) SUNDAY 25 TH AUGUST Engineering Works District Line No service between Ealing Common and Ealing Broadway Jubilee Line No Service between Willesden Green and Stanmore Metropolitan Line No trains between Harrow-on-the-Hill and Aldgate Piccadilly Line No service between Acton town and Uxbridge London Overground No trains between Surrey Quays and Clapham Junction, and between Highbury & Islington and Shadwell (Details of industrial action below) Carnival Related Tube Closures Various stations are closed or restricted so crowd management can be enforced. This means the following stations will be restricted Ladbroke Grove (Circle and Hammersmith & City Lines) Closed Latimer Road (Circle and Hammersmith & City Lines) Closing at 11:30pm Notting Hill Gate (Circle, District and Central Lines) Exit only between 12:00pm and 7:00pmfor Central Line only. Circle and District Line trains won t stop there for the duration. Those on the Circle and District Line are advised to exit at Bayswater Royal Oak (Circle and Hammersmith & City Lines) Exit only between 11:00am and 6:00pm with the station closing at 6:00pm Westbourne Park (Circle and Hammersmith & City Lines) Exit only from 11:00am until 6:00pm with the station closing at 11:30pm As a result of the changes, you re being advised to use Paddington, High St Kensington, Holland Park, Queen s Park and Shepherd s Bush Stations which are all nearby but less likely to be busy. INDUSTRIAL ACTION London Overground services will be disrupted this weekend due to industrial action by RMT Union members. The action will be taking place on Sunday and Bank Holiday Monday, resulting in no service between Willesden Junction and Richmond, Willesden Junction and Clapham Junction, and between Gospel Oak and Barking. The Euston to Watford line is expected to run normally and the rest of this line is expected to run normally on Sunday except for where engineering works are taking place 5

7 NATIONAL RAIL ENGINEERING WORKS There will still be some sets of engineering works taking place over this weekend, with details below SUNDAY 25 th AUGUST Southern No trains will run into London Bridge Some trains will operate into/out of Victoria instead No trains between London Bridge and Crystal Palace Trains between London Bridge and East Croydon will run between Streatham and East Croydon Trains between Clapham Jcn/South Croydon will only run as far as Shepherds Bush First Capital Connect (Thameslink) Trains won t call at East Croydon or London Bridge Trains between Luton and Sutton will only run as far as Herne Hill First Capital Connect (Great Northern) No trains between Alexandra Palace and Stevenage via Hertford North From 8:00am, trains won t call at stations between Finsbury Park and Potters Bar East Coast, First Hull and Grand Central Trains Services may be cancelled, altered or retimed because of works in North London Southeastern Trains that usually start/end at Victoria will divert start/end at Cannon Street Trains between Charing Cross and Sevenoaks will only run between Charing Cross and Orpington Services between Blackfriars and Sevenoaks will divert from Bickley and end at Swanley Trains between Victoria and Orpington will start/end at Blackfriars (no service at Brixton) London Midland No service between Tring/Milton Keynes/Northampton and Euston with buses replacing trains Buses replace trains between Watford Junction and St Albans Abbey Virgin Trains Until Midday, no trains will run between Euston and Rugby After Midday, trains won t run between Euston and Milton Keynes Central 7
