26 Expectations / Rules Dress - The weather in Paris can be unpredictable. Our advice is expect the worst and hope for the best so boys should take a warm top and possibly a waterproof coat into the parks as well as sun cream + hat, in case it gets hot. We won t have time to access to their luggage on the first day, so everything they need, should be in the ruck sack. Boys are required to be suitably and modestly dressed at all times. If a member of staff tells them that what they are wearing is not suitable, they must go and change. Money - We recommend that students take no more than 100, but this is of course up to parents and family. Please try to get them in small notes as we may not be able to change them. They should budget this to 20 per day. Mobile Phones - Please be aware that school staff will not be responsible for looking after mobile phones or other items of value, including i-pads or laptops, if brought along. These are brought at the students own risk and will not be covered by insurance if you leave them unattended. Students should turn off cellular data to avoid getting roaming charges. Students should keep mobiles switched on in case we have to ring them in an emergency. Medicine - If your son has a medical condition that requires medication, can we ask where possible that you give it to a member of School staff. While we will be acting in loco parentis whilst we are in France, we will not hand out pain-killing medication unless we feel there is sufficient justification to do so. Please ensure that your son has a small supply of his preferred pain-killers for not-so-obvious occasions. It is also advisable for them to bring plasters, especially blister plasters just in case as again, we will have a small supply, but it is always better if they bring ones that you know they can use. We have all the medical notes on each student stating weather they can have plasters/ paracetamol.
27 IN THE HOTEL Please note that boys will be billed for any damage to the rooms, so it is important that you check your room on arrival and report any damage to your group leader so they can make a note of it and inform the Hotelier. Space is always at a premium in rooms, so you will need to be disciplined and store your belongings away in the space provided. Please note that towels are sometimes not usually provided in European Hotels, for hygiene purposes you should pack your own. You are expected to stay in your room after curfew has been called. Your teachers room number will be given to you should there be an emergency during the night. Staff will also patrol the corridors after lights out and do room inspections for cleanliness in the mornings. You are not allowed to leave the hotel corridor without the express permission of your group leader.
28 ABOVE ALL YOU MUST LISTEN TO ADULTS ON THE TRIP, THAT MEANS HOTEL STAFF, DISNEYLAND PARIS STAFF, THE COACH DRIVER AND THE SCHOOL STAFF! Behaviour Good behaviour and manners cost nothing and are vital if you want to have a happy and successful trip. You have to behave as you would in your school. Do: -keep the place tidy: find somewhere to store your stuff during the non-sleeping hours. -look after your valuables and cash. -make sure you are in your room at the designated bed-time and stay there until your call in the morning. -make sure you know the teacher s room number in case of an emergency. -report any breakage and/or damage to your group leader at once. -report punctually to meetings, roll call and meals. -be properly equipped for your day we won t have time to go back to the accommodation to collect things you forget. - Stay in groups of 4 in the Disney Parks and do not wonder off anywhere on your own!! Don t: -play music loudly, -give any cause whatsoever for other guests or hotel staff to complain, -leave the Centre or the Disney Parks without a member of staff present or with specific permission of your group leader.
