2 Travel Itinerary- Fri 16 th Students arrive at school for 7.15am latest. Take luggage and wait in the school hall Coach departs Hilbre Bring a packed lunch & snacks to eat on the coach Ferry from Dover. Evening meal on the ferry (English money needed)
3 Travel Itinerary- Sat 17 th Breakfast on Saturday- stop at a services (Euros will be needed) 10.40am Approx. arrival time at destination hotel Lunch on Saturday- provided by the hotel Saturday afternoon/evening- unpacking/settling into rooms, boot & ski fitting, welcome evening/quiz
4 Trip Itinerary- Sun 18 th to Fri 23 rd 6 days skiing (5 hours each day) Sunday- Friday. Times: and Lunch- packed lunch provided by the hotel and eaten on the slopes. Dinner- hot meal at the hotel.
5 Travel Itinerary- Fri 23 rd Sat 24 th Finish ski, pack up, evening meal and depart at Breakfast Saturday- stop at a services (euros will be needed) Ferry from Calais Lunch- on the ferry (euros or sterling will be needed) Approx time of arrival at school students will be able to contact with an updated ETA
6 Coach There are no spare seats on the coach. You must sit next to someone! Therefore, it is essential that you only bring ONE small travel bag onto the coach. There simply will not be the room to bring more. The more stuff= more uncomfortable you will be. We will be travelling through the night so think about comfortable clothing/travel pillows etc. If you require travel sickness tablets please make sure you bring them!
7 Packing One small rucksack for the coach- food & essentials + travel pillow One soft holdall type bag/suitcase suggested size 70cm x 35cm x 35cm 15kg max
8 Ski Kit- Essentials Waterproof ski jacket- take onto the coach as hand luggage and this will give you more space in your suitcase. Waterproof ski salopettes Waterproof ski gloves or mittens Gore-tex style. Woollen gloves are NOT suitable Goggles- the lenses should be 100% UVA and UVB resistant.
9 Ski Kit- Essentials Neck warmer/ balaclava 3 or 4 thermal tops (base layers) remember several thin layers are better than one or two thick ones 3 or 4 thin fleeces Thermal bottoms (thick leggings or gym leggings if thermal bottoms not available) 2 or 3 pairs of ski socks- one pair should be put in travel bag on the bus ready for the ski fitting when we arrive in resort.
10 Evening wear and journey: Trip hoody- MUST be worn on journey there and back Jeans/comfortable trousers/jogging bottoms T-shirts/tops Jumper or fleece Underwear including normal socks Footwear for hotel Spare gloves (to wear in the evening if ski ones get wet) Scarf Warm hat Snowboots / sturdy waterproof boots with a good grip for walking outside in snow
11 Other Important Items Towel Pyjamas Toiletries Sunscreen & Lipsalve/balm Mobile phone & charger Plug in travel charger (optional) Travel plug adaptor English money for journey Euros to buy drinks/snacks/gifts Any medication (including painkillers) Travel sickness tablets if required Chocolate/cereal/energy bars (for a snack during skiing) Swim wear- not planned but just in case.
12 What s missing from the list? O PASSPORT AND EHIC because you should handed it in to us on your way in to this meeting. O If you ve not brought it, you must bring it in tomorrow and take it straight to the finance office.
13 Magic Plastic Wallet Any medication to be administered by staff Money envelopes (x4) (NOT the money you need for the journey on the Friday) YOU WILL NOT BE ALLOWED ON THE COACH WITHOUT THE MAGIC PLASTIC WALLET!!!
14 Money Envelopes Students will each be given 4 brown envelopes There will be a slip of paper detailing what to write on each envelope. Divide the money into the envelopes and these will be handed out on the corresponding days.

20 Rooming You need to put yourselves into pairs. Please write your pairs on the sheet at the back of the hall. BOTH must be present when you give your names in, otherwise it won t be accepted. Rooms will be arranged on Friday, so if you haven t given in your pair, don t expect to be sharing with who you would necessarily like to.
21 Fitness Skiing can be very tiring and you may not get the most out of it if you re feeling tired; particularly in your legs. Get exercising over the next two weeks!
22 Insurance Please familiarise yourself with the ski company s insurance policy and the school insurance policy. MOBILES & OTHER VALUABLES ARE NOT COVERED BY THE INSURANCE POLICY! >> please make sure you lock your rooms!
23 Hoodies Please pick up your hoody before leaving! And remember it must be worn during the journeys.
