2 Travel arrangements Please be in main car park at 4.45am on Tuesday 17 th. The coach will leave at 5.00am prompt. We will travel to Folkestone for a channel tunnel crossing at Please bring some breakfast or some money to buy breakfast at the Eurotunnel. Be aware, we can t guarantee to have time, so it is best to bring some food.

3 Passports Please hand in all passports and EHIC cards to Miss De la Cadena at the end of this meeting if you haven t already. We will be looking after all passports when in France but pupils will have their own on them when travelling.

4 Luggage Students responsible for their own luggage. We need to fit ALL luggage underneath one coach, so no oversized bags please. Recommendation to have all food/entertainment for the coach journey in a separate bag which can be taken onto the coach. All luggage to be labelled on the outside and inside.

5 Return trip Tunnel crossing from Calais. Arrive at Folkestone 12.55, projected arrival back at school 5.30pm. We will ask your child to call when half an hour away. Please arrange for your child to be collected from school.

6 Travel In Paris, we will be exploring the city by coach, so there will be no need for us to navigate the city s metro system!

7 Clothes Please see kit list in your parent packs. Comfortable clothes to travel in.. Travel medication ( Travelease is good!) Sensible food for the journey (not too messy, please limit sweets. You do NOT need them and they will make you more prone to travel sickness!) Jacket, coat, jumper to keep warm just in case. Clothes for warmer weather. (baseball hat very useful) Clothes for slightly cooler weather (not the whole wardrobe) Comfortable shoes for walking and standing around. Toiletries, including shower gel and deodorant. TOWELS are provided by the hotel. Drinks bottle (refillable and small, very useful for excursions) Sun Cream in case of exceptional weather. Labelled Medication inhaler or headache tablets Camera if you wish. Small games, DVDs, MP3s, ipods for the coach journey not during excursions.

8 Behaviour On a trip, we expect students to uphold the same good behaviour that they show in school. Behaviour contract to sign before you leave the meeting. To be returned to Miss Coombs. Parents expected to collect their child if their behaviour is extraordinarily inappropriate.

9 The hotel The hotel is frequently used by our travel company and they are used to accommodating school groups. Students wil be sleeping in rooms of 2/3/4. Damage deposit. Please have a damage deposit of 10 for your child in an envelope to be given to Mr Bowman on departure. Should there be no damage in their room, this deposit will be returned in full on the final day.

10 Money Only needed for snacks/souvenirs. I cannot put a limit, but recommend no more than 100euros in small denominations. It could be useful to have labelled envelope with emergency money which can be given to Mr Bruce on the coach when we depart.

11 Food Breakfast and dinner is provided at the hotel and we have a 5 budget per day for lunch 10 for our day in Disney. This budget will include money for the journey home, where we will be making a stop in a hypermarket.

12 Safety List of contact numbers, staying safe sheet of instructions. All students will be given a student pack, similar to your parent pack, with emergency numbers and safety instructions. They will also be instructed to put the school mobile number into their phones prior to disembarking the coach.

13 Going out Each member of staff responsible for 9 students. They will report to this member of staff on all excursions for head counts and checks. In Disney. We will arrange a central location where two members of staff will be positioned all day. Students are free to explore the park in groups of three or four and must report back to the duty teachers every two hours. Timed meeting points are not viable due to the queuing nature of the park.

14 Health problems Please see the risk avoidance sheet. All students should find us in the first instance should they feel unwell or need medication to be administered.

15 Phoning home Make sure that roaming is switched on, PAYG phones are topped up and you have European travel adaptors. KEEP CALLS HOME TO A MINIMUN TO AVOID WORRYING PARENTS. Please talk to us in the first instance, we are best placed to assist.
