28 Attachment 5 MGL 21E Reportable Releases in the Project Area A search was conducted using the Massachusetts DEP online searchable sites database in order to obtain information regarding the spill or release of oil and/or hazardous materials in and around the project area. The DEP searchable sites database provides information regarding the listed Release Tracking Numbers (RTNs), including the location, notification date, status, and type of chemical released. The research conducted included scanning the database for each of the three towns that the corridor passes through, including Amesbury, Newburyport and Salisbury, Massachusetts, and reporting the RTNs both within the project boundary and in close proximity corridor area. A total of thirtytwo RTNs were found listed in the database eight of these RTNs were within the Site boundaries, and the remaining twenty-four RTNs were located in close proximity to the Site. The recorded RTNs are listed in Table 1, and the approximate locations for each RTN are shown on Figure 1. For the reported sites, twenty-one of the RTNs have achieved closure status through a RAO. The DEP website identified eight Class A1 RAOs, nine Class A2 RAOs, one Class A3 RAO, and three Class B1 RAOs. Several RTNs have been closed as a result of being linked to an additional RTN, including RTN in Amesbury, which was linked to ; RTN in Newburyport, which was linked to ; and RTNs and in Salisbury, which were linked to According to the DEP database, three RTNs are still open, and are currently listed as being in REMOPS status. These RTNs include in Amesbury, located within the project boundary, in Newburyport, located outside the boundary, and , located outside the project boundaries.
