3 Energy & Access HVAC remains an outstanding issue Original heating system, windows, and floors still in place; extremely inefficient and difficult to find replacement parts Recent studies conclude building s site energy use intensity to be 57.5% higher than the average comparable building Electric costs found to be nearly $3,000 higher than the average comparable building Current structure does not meet today s standards in ADA accessibility, security, or technology Change from oil to gas heat could result in a 21% reduction in heating costs Roof in overall poor condition due to vegetation growth and mold; quotes for flat roof repair alone range from $55,000 - $65,000
4 Safety and Security Inadequate space for athletes and spectators during prac;ces and games Major trip hazards with an;quated metal and block ;les and original gym floor Severe temperatures during winter and summer months; inadequate fresh air ADA requirements not met in current facility Office staff exposed to general public; no alarms, video surveillance, security access, etc.
