2 Dear Colleagues, It is with great pleasure that I welcome you to the historic and beautiful city of Thessaloniki on behalf of the European Young Bar Association. The Trainee Lawyers and Young Bar Association of Thessaloniki has worked relentlessly to provide delegates with an enjoyable and enriching experience learning about international law and sampling the delights of Greek culture. This conference will provide you with the opportunity to expand your legal knowledge, meet like-minded individuals, and reconnect with some of our more seasoned colleagues and friends. Whatever stage that you may be in your career, this is an opportunity that you won't want to miss. On behalf of the EYBA and our hosts, the TLYBAT, I wish you all a pleasant stay in Thessaloniki. Our association is the final step of long effort, started back in 2002, to create a young Bar association in the second largest city in Greece, Thessaloniki. This effort was completed in 2013 and since then our association represents Greek trainees and young lawyers to national and international level. We are proud to host the European Young Bar Association s Spring Conference in 2017, the first event of its kind to be hosted in Greece. Our strong intention is to combine a series of professionally useful scientific sessions with an opportunity to enjoy the delights of Greek culture and connect with legal professionals from Greece.
