4 KEY FIGURES International Ship Suppliers & Services Association with members, represented in more than 95 countries, provides; service, technical equipment, food (fresh & frozen), beverage and tobacco products in more than 500 locations to vessels ( crew members) in the world. Turkish Ship Suppliers Association (TURSSA) will be hosting the 63 rd ISSA CONVENTION in Istanbul with its members who provide more than deliveries in a year. The 63 rd ISSA CONVENTION is an unprecedented opportunity for all suppliers and producers to widen their customer portfolio in the maritime industry s supply sector. 5 WHY ISTANBUL? Turkey is the one of the biggest supply hubs in the Mediterranean and Black Sea area with deliveries in a year. Istanbul is the main and only connection point between Black Sea, Aegean and Mediterranean with the strait of Bosphorus. Turkish Merchant Fleet is the 5 th Largest Merchant Fleet in the world with 29, 3 Million DWT. One of the World s biggest container ports in Istanbul (Ambarlı) City is accessible from all parts of the world, served by more than 300 international airlines. Most major European airports are 2-4 hours away from Istanbul by air and Turkish Airlines has direct flights to over 298 destinations. More than 77 nationalities do not need a visa to enter TURKEY. 22 countries get a visa stamp at the airport. There are no restrictions for any nationalities. An e-visa service is provided on internet.
