2 MEETING MINUTES January 2 nd 2018 President Richard Fox called the meeting to order and welcome the 25 members that were present The minutes for the December meetings were approved Treasurer's Report was given by Treasurer Steve Primavera through Dec. 31 Membership Chairman Bill Bordwine reported that we had 82 paid members to date NCM report was given by John Fort, still don't know when the factory will be open for tours Old Business: Checks were delivered to the Food Bank with lunch afterwards We had 44 Corvettes take part in the I140 opening, not all Corvette were club cars Christmas party was held Dec 16 and a great time was had by all who attended, thanks to Peter for all the hard work Anyone interested in taking over one of the officer duties are welcome to do so New Business: Discussions for the club in 2018: Maybe holding meeting different time and places Doing some more cleaning seminars Tech days Car shows Two track days, April 13th and Oct 19th Parades Maybe Biltmore in the spring or fall We are still open to any ideal for events The next meeting will be held Feb. 5th at eh N.E. 4 President s Message Dear Cape Fear Corvettes members, We have developed a parliamentary 2018 Calendar of events. We will include more events as dates are finalized. I have attempted to increase the number of "Cruise & Dine" events so that we have at least one a month. If you have an idea for an event or a dinning destination please forward the information and we will fit it into the schedule. Please support these events with your attendance and / or leadership. Please keep in mind, Corvette ownership is a requirement only for a new member. So if you are currently Vetteless you are still eligible to renew your membership and enjoy all the benefits and fun CFC has to offer renewal membership to Cape Fear Corvettes is only $25.00 You may pay in pay in person at our February 6th meeting or send your dues to: Bill Bordwine 44 Gooseneck Rd. 5 Ambassador Report January 2018 Cape Fear Corvettes, Wilmington, NC is a One Acre Club Donald & Debra Paulson Master Ambassadors & Life Members NCM CORVETTE NEWS 2018 Corvette Hall of Fame Inductees Announced The National Corvette Museum has announced the following inductees to be recognized as part of the 21st Annual Corvette Hall of Fame ceremony in 2018: John and Burt Greenwood in the category of Racing; Tom Wallace in the category of GM/Chevrolet; and Mike Yager in the category of Enthusiast. These four individuals will be recognized with the highest honor bestowed by the Museum for their contributions to the past, present and future of Corvette. The 2018 recipients will be inducted into the Corvette Hall of Fame during a ceremony and banquet on Friday, August 31, 2018 Their induction will take place as part of the Museum s 24th Anniversary Celebration August 30 September 1, Read more about each inductee...

15 NATIONAL CORVETTE RESTORERS SOCIETY Greenville SC Regional The Carolinas Chapter is hosting an NCRS Regional April 12-14, Come and join us during springtime in the South when everything is in bloom. The event will be held at the TD Convention Center in Greenville, SC. For information about the center visit Hall 1 (125,000 ft.) will be used for car judging. Greenville s revitalized and award-winning downtown has been written up in many magazines as a destination for fine dining. For more information visit The host hotel is the Embassy Suites, about four miles away. Reservations open January 2 with a discounted rate of $159 through March 12. A shuttle to downtown Greenville will be provided mid-day Friday for a spouses' luncheon/shopping adventure.
