4 Annual Meeting & Celebration A flagship event for the Greater Macon Chamber of Commerce, the 157th Annual Membership Meeting is scheduled for December 7, This event draws more top business professionals than any other event. It is at this quality networking event the Chamber installs new officers and honors our community's businesses as well as outstanding chamber members with awards such as the Chairman's Award, Ambassador of the Year, and Citizen of the Year. 6 Board of Directors Annual Planning Retreat Each year, the incoming Board Chair holds a strategic planning retreat for the Vice Chairs and Board Members. During this retreat, plans for the upcoming year are discussed and the Strategic Plan for the following year is formed. The Board of Directors is comprised of top executives from Macon-Bibb County's top businesses and organizations. This event is held in late October/ early November. 7 Board of Directors Meetings The Chamber Board of Directors meetings are held bi-monthly during the year in January, March, May, July, September and December. The Board is comprised of top executives from Macon -Bibb County's top companies and organizations. The Board Meeting sponsor will get direct exposure to approximately 50 community leaders. Sponsor is invited to attend the meeting and your company will receive recognition prior to the meeting and also during the meeting Board Meeting Sponsors: $300-6 Available Sponsor's name will be included in to the Board. 8 Business After Hours Show off your business to potential customers! Business After Hours is an after-work networking event designed to highlight individual member businesses and provide a relaxed networking opportunity for members. The event is held at a member's business from 5:30 to 7:00 PM on the third Thursday of the month. Members enjoy hors'd'oeuvres*, beverages*, door prizes* and an informal setting to meet, mingle and make contacts. Sponsor provides venue, food, beverages (beer, wine, water and soft drinks with additional beverages being optional). Sponsor provides three door prizes and two registration tables. Chamber provides staffing for registration tables, handles RSVPs and provides printed name tags. *NOTE! In addition to the sponsorship, member is responsible for providing the food, beverage and door prizes. 9 Chamber 101 Chamber 101 is the Chamber's New Member Orientation breakfast occurring two times a year. It gives new chamber members a chance to learn more about the Chamber and its role in the Greater Macon area. The event offers the new member an opportunity to meet the Chamber staff and to introduce themselves to the Chamber and other members in attendance. By providing a short introduction about their company or organization, this interaction is a great way to build relationships as well as to educate new members about the Chamber's different programs and areas of involvement. 10 Chamber Ambassadors A highly energized and visible group, Chamber Ambassadors promote the Chamber's services, connect members to the chamber and assist in welcoming businesses to the community. These actions make the Ambassadors a valuable resource to the chamber while providing them the "in-the-know" information regarding the Chamber and all things Macon. As engaged members, the Ambassadors attend ribbon cuttings, Business After Hours and other events and serve as volunteers for the Annual Meeting, Golf Classic and other major events. Meeting once a month, the Ambassador committee discuss new members, upcoming events and member outreach activities. 12 Connecting Over Coffee On a bi-monthly basis, 30 business professionals make multiple contacts in less than an hour during this fast-paced networking event. Each attendee is given two minutes to spotlight his/her business. All participants have the opportunity to bring promotional materials and their business cards to be included in a "goody bag". 13 Chamber s Annual Golf Classic Rotating the 18 holes of golf at a member's golf course, 132 golfers enjoy a day of networking and business development on spacious fairways and greens. Held annually, the Golf Classic attracts players who vie for fun and prizes while making great business contacts. Golfers enjoy a round of golf, a putting contest with prizes, closest to the pin game, longest drive contest, a ball drop and a reception with raffle prizes! 18 New Member Reception Each fall the Chamber welcomes all new members with a cocktail reception held at the Chamber of Commerce. Approximately attend this event designed to help new members get introduced to the Chamber facility, meet Board members and other new members and learn ways to maximize their membership. 19 Total Resource Campaign 2017 Lights! Camera! Action! In an organized eight weeks, volunteers raise the funding for our Chamber programs for the entire year. A TRC markets sponsorships of the Chamber's programs, events, publications and electronic media, as well as recruits new members. Recognition and fun campaign events provide an exciting environment for all volunteers. TRC Kick Off Sponsor (May 3, 2017) : $750-2 Available This event, which will take place on Tuesday, May 10th at noon, marks the official kick-off of the Total Resource Campaign! This year's event will be held at Mercer University in the President's Dining Room. Approximately 60 volunteers, Chamber board members, and staff attend. The sponsor receives: Their name/logo in all pre and post event promotions and the exclusive privilege of displaying company's marketing material at the event The opportunity to welcome the group at the beginning of the meeting Recognition multiple times with the group of 60 volunteers Recognition in the Chamber Insider, the electronic newsletter TRC Reward Session Sponsor: $350 3 Available Each week of the campaign, all of the volunteers for the Total Resource Campaign will meet.
