2 Dear HIA Members and Potential Sponsors, We invite you to Share The Vision For the future of hemp by becoming a Sponsor of the 24th Annual HIA Conference. The HIA is hosting its 24th annual conference this year in the heart of hemp country, Lexington, Kentucky. Kentucky has approved 209 applications to grow a total of 12,800 acres in 2017! We are partnering with: - University of Kentucky, College of Agriculture, Food and Environment - American Society of Agronomy - Crop Sciences Society of America To bring the industry the best hemp conference ever! We will host speakers from multiple disciplines and scientific poster presenters. A preliminary schedule is found in this playbook and will be continually updated online as more details become available. Last year, the HIA conference in Denver boasted the largest attendance in HIA s history. Membership continues to grow; hemp acreage continues to increase, and interest in hemp is at an all-time high. We are sure to have another break-through in attendance at this year s conference in Kentucky! All conference attendees are invited to a Hemp Farm and Processing Tour at University of Kentucky facilities, complete with networking reception and entertainment on Saturday, Sept. 9th. This major undertaking will require 7+ busses! Sponsoring this event is a great way to get your brand in front of a captive audience - a benefit for Presenting & Title Sponsors. The tour will be followed by our 24th Annual HIA Conference at the Lexington, Kentucky Convention Center and adjoining Hyatt Regency Hotel on September 10 & 11, The Exhibit Hall and Sponsored Hemp Talks will be open to the public for the first time in our history.
