This sector employs in excess of 700,000 individuals, represents 70,000 franchisees and more than 1,200 franchise systems. The Franchise Council of Australia (FCA) is a not-for-profit, nongovernment, membership-based organisation representing Australia s franchise sector. The FCA engages with its members through a variety of high-visibility mediums including more than 100 nation-wide industry events per year, trusted electronic communication such as regular newsletters and political updates, as well as traditional channels including hard copy mailing and publications. Incorporated in 1984, FCA is the country s only peak body representing the franchise sector. With a head office based in Melbourne and a team of 9 experienced staff, including advocates working with members at the highest level of federal and state parliament, all the way through to our highly creative and professional events team, the FCA provides a comprehensive range of valuable benefits to its members. 6 Concurrent Sessions 15 th & 16 th October NFC18 provides delegates the opportunity to focus their attention on topics relevant to their position within the sector through concurrent sessions. The MYOB FCA Excellence in Franchising Awards 2018 is the biggest franchising awards competition in the southern hemisphere and the black tie gala dinner is the most prestigious event on the franchising calendar. 7 Marketing Mediums NFC18 Website The NFC18 has a dedicated website where delegates can register for all the events, read biographies of keynote speakers, view the program and venue details information all sponsors and exhibitors and review all other NFC18 information. The website is the main resource for delegates in the lead up to the event. Links to the NFC18 website have prominent position on all sections of the FCA website and rank as the top three hits on Google. It serves as a valuable keepsake following the convention. The Delegate Book will also be available as an following the convention. NFC18 App The NFC18 has a dedicated App where delegates can view the events, read biographies of keynote speakers, view the program, venue details, information all sponsors and exhibitors and review all other NFC18 information. The App is the main resource for delegates in during the event. Online In the lead up to NFC18, delegates, potential delegates and the general FCA member base receives regular communication regarding NFC18 speakers, venues, ticketing and other important information relating to their registration. The Franchise Review The Franchise Review (TFR) is a full-colour journal published four times per year. TFR features news, issues and commentary aimed at increasing the knowledge base and informing the decision-making processes of those within the sector. The magazine is also made available on the website in e-book format. With an initial distribution to 7,000 FCA Members in print and digital format, TFR is seen by senior managers, stakeholders and decision-makers. Total readership is estimated to be beyond 10,000.
