Quakertown Breakfast hosted by Ed & Kathy Benner. It was the day after the Nor'easter storm that had dumped a few inches of snow. The roads,however, were surprisingly almost free of snow and ice. Attendance was a bit light with only twelve Retreads. Art Grantz reported on the Eastern Pa. Retreads finances. Kathy and I sold the 50/50 tickets and the winner was Art Grantz. Hang in there,better spring weather is almost here. - Ed and Kathy Benner 2 nd Saturday. McAlisterville Breakfast hosted by Rich & Betsy Tressler. The weather was cold and blustery for the first breakfast of the season in McAlisterville but 7 Retreads came out for breakfast and socializing. It was great to see each other after a long winter. Hopefully the weather will be better next month and more Retreads will attend. - Art 3rd Saturday Shartlesville Breakfast hosted by Bill & Nancy Lingenfelter. It was very cold for our breakfast. However even though it was so cold we still had 35 Retreads in attendance. Our breakfast fell on St. Patty s Day so we brought Irish potato candies for everyone to enjoy and they sure seemed to! Art Grantz gave the annual financial report and the members really appreciate that. Thanks to Art and Dick Kern for selling the 50/50 tickets the winner was Bonnie Hannum. We forgot to announce that during the month of April (thanks to donation money from Jane Connelly) there will be a drawing at every breakfast for a $10 prize. We sure appreciate so many people coming to breakfast even though its cold and they can t ride. Hopefully the weather will be much nicer for our April breakfast! - Bill & Nancy 4 th Sunday most months Lancaster Breakfast hosted by Art Grantz It seems like winter doesn t want to let go this year, it was cold with snow flurries for the first breakfast of spring at Hershey Farm but 41 Retreads and 2 guests enjoyed warm fellowship and plenty of food. Our guests were Mary, who came with Dick Dombach, and Cameron, granddaughter of Ed & Jane Frank. I gave the annual financial revue and we discussed ways to increase membership. The 50/50 was won by Bill Hake. Hopefully next month will bring the riding weather we are all waiting for. - Art New Member Recruitment program We are starting a member recruitment program to increase our membership. Here s how it works. You speak to a motorcycle dealer and explain the program and ask to leave specially prepared flyers at their business. The flyers have a membership app on one side and a description of our club on the other side. The App is preprinted with the dealer s name on it in the sponsored by line. Continued on next page

2 When we receive the app we list the dealer as the new member sponsor in our newsletter, so they get free publicity. We list you as the sponsoring member in our records, so you get credit for sponsoring the new member. Sponsor 3 new members in one year and you earn a free membership the following year.
