2 Friday, Sept 12th SPECIAL General Meeting & 7pm Location: San Martin Lions Club, Murphy Ave., San Martin Please bring your favorite dish to share (don t forget to supply your own utensils & plates). It s been awhile since we ve all gotten together so, our President Bev, thought it would be nice to hold a general meeting in September. Come join us for some good grub and the latest club news. There s a lot to catch up on! **Remember: Attend the general meeting and earn a raffle ticket toward the End of the Year Drawing! Pat McAndrews of Santa Clara County Horseman s Association contacted SMHA in July asking for our help. She is part of a team of individuals working to raise funds to develop a well in a notoriously dry trail area of the Ouicksilver/Mid-Peninsula parks. The project, which unites many area horse groups, needs nearly $4,000 to develop and install the planned trough. Park approval has already been obtained; all we need now is our community s financial support! SMHA has chosen to donate to the venture. If you would like to make a private donation and support the local equestrian trail network, please contact Pat McAndrews at: pat@kittle.net Checks can be mailed to: McKean Rd, San Jose, Ca On October 4 th, a horse campout in the Hicks Rd area is being organized to help generate awareness and raise funds. All are welcome. If you are interested, contact Pat McAndrews for details. It s that time! Nominations for 2015 Board Member positions are currently being accepted. If you know someone who you think would be a valuable asset to your club, please submit their name promptly. Nominations are being accepted for all board positions; Self nominations are allowed. Please nominations to: mail@smhorse.org Elections will be held later this fall. Did you know SMHA is on Facebook? Be sure to follow us for day to day news on activities in your club and community.
