Lee Steele for more information at rlee@rleesteele.com Hello Everyone, President s Message We ll be in Matagorda Bay Nature Park Thursday, February 4 th through Sunday February 7 th. Please go to or call for reservations in the South Loop. Grady and Keith Ferry and new members, Peter and Carol Sajovich will be hosting. When you make your reservations, or if you have already made them, please let Grady know via or phone. Grady Ferry pizzacat@sbcglobal.com We have the 2016 Austin RV Expo at the Austin Convention Center February 18 th -21 st. Camper Clinic II will have many new Airstreams to explore at the convention. Please contact Warren Capps by phone at or warren@warrencapps.com to help with the excitement of folks discovering all about Airstreams. For many years our club has helped Camper Clinic II at the show. We are experienced Airstreamers who can share the Airstream experience first hand with new prospective owners. It s also a great way for us to expand our membership and meet some great folks. If you are an avid Yelper or on Facebook please take a moment to leave a review for Camper Clinic II on Yelp and Like their Facebook Page. Our club relies on our local dealer for new membership and our local dealer needs our help for sales. I have been reflecting on how much I enjoy our rallies. It s a time for some to get away and relax and a time for others to get out and do something. A rally gives us a place to enjoy our Airstream family. It s a place where you see old friends, meet new friends and together you learn and discover new things about people, places and yourself. It s a place where you are always welcome and appreciated. Thank you all of you for being a part of our Airstream family. Be safe, be well and be blessed. Happy Travels!! R. Lee Steele

All members present had the opportunity to speak on the motions at the IBT seminar. Those present from the Texas Highland Lakes Unit were International President & First Lady, Jim and Raisin Schwerdfeger; Past International President & First Lady, John and Sandy Boutwell, Past International President & First Lady, Jim and Janie Haddaway; International Treasurer, Richard Turner and wife, Janet; Chairman National/Special Event Standing Committee, Marque Mooney and husband, Jimmy; Region 9 First Vice President, Grady Ferry and wife, Keith; and Myron and Kathryn Fischer. Twenty-two motions were voted on covering constitutional amendments, bylaws and policy changes, chartering of new units and unit name changes. Three new units were chartered. The Wasatch Airstream Unit formed in Utah and Lake Tahoe Airstream Club in Nevada. Particularly exciting was the chartering of the Europe Unit. Merit awards were presented to six regions which included Region 9. In addition to the meetings, those attending enjoyed Cajun cuisine prepared by the Louisiana Unit. There was gumbo, bread pudding, cheese grits, beignets and other mouthwatering delights. The evening entertainment included a program by Judy Davis, local historian and humorist who shared stories of Louisiana culture. We also enjoyed the performance of Cecilia a female trio who sang original songs in French as well as popular tunes. A favorite was On the Road Again. The next IBT meetings will be held at the International Rally in Lewisburg in WBCCI members will have the opportunity to listen live by streaming audio to the IBT Seminars and Meetings.
