Lopez Treasurer Linda Parman Wagon Master Edgar Beck Secretary/Newsletter Ginny Beaulieu Chaplain Charlie Westbrook Awards Susanna Beck Historian Jerry Lopez Sunshine Ceci Westbrook Texas Good Sam Chapter Standard Operating Procedure: Article I - It is the purpose of the TEXAS GOOD SAM CHAPTERS to promote the use and enjoyment of recreational vehicles and outdoor fellowship among its members through trips and group activities. The State Organization shall maintain an attitude which is strictly non-sectarian, non-partisan, non-sectional, non-racial, nondenominational and non-discriminatory, and shall be dedicated to bringing together people interested in the ideals and principals of the Good Sam Club. 2 The City of Santa Fe is 400+ years old - the oldest Capital in the U.S. It is located at 7,000 feet elevation, in the Sangre de Cristos foothills at the southern tip of the Rocky Mountains. Friday evening the Parmans, Becks and the Mauldins got together at Café Fina, close to the campground. Suzie had to fight for some chairs, but they managed to sit together and had a good time. The Lopez family went to Downtown Santa Fe and enjoyed the Car Show, Cruise Nights on the Plaza, very nice old cars, music and of course food. We got some heavy rain this night but luckily we were safe in our rigs. 2

Saturday morning we all got together and had breakfast. Edgar and Betty Boop made eggs to order for everyone. Aliris and Danica enjoyed the early morning sunrise with a hike on the trail close to the campground. Later we all headed out to Chimayo, NM, about 45 miles away, and did a little sightseeing at the Santuario de Chimayo. We all came back with some blessed dirt. We also stopped by the Tesuque Flea Market and found an old Prickly Pear Lemonade stand. Yummy! 3

We all met up for a picture back in Downtown Santa Fe at a very tasty restaurant called The Thunderbird, which you must try whenever you are all in town. We got some light rain and some cool weather. The Downtown Plaza was a beautiful sight. It is so green in Santa Fe, and to think, it is only 6 hours away from our desert. 4

Sunday morning we had coffee and Edgar brought over some Louisiana Crunch Cake, it was delicious, he wasn t in the mood for eggs to order this time. We all headed out soon after breakfast once we got Merle and Linda s rig going. Someone must have left something on. 5

Albuquerque State Fair A total of 7 rigs showed up for this outing. They included the Becks, Parmans, Brotts, Browns, Campos s; Jeff Rose and his girlfriend, Nancy, and Jill Parker. The main purpose of the outing was to attend the New Mexico State Fair. On Friday evening everyone, with the exception Jeff and Nancy who wasn t feeling well, went to Old Town to eat. We decided on the Church St. Café where some of us had been before. We had a very good time and the atmosphere was quite nice. After arriving back at the RV Park, some of us went to Linda s rig for a nightcap. The weather was a little cooler than El Paso but enjoyable. The next morning, most of us went to the continental breakfast provided by the park. Then we gathered together in vehicles to drive to the State Fair. There was a lot to do and see, as well as a variety of food vendors. While most of us stayed the entire day, the Brotts along with Jill Parker went back early. There was a lot of walking and Dan was still recuperating from his knee operation. While we were there, Merle, Jerry & I each brought a HEVC Remote System. It is supposed to be able to receive all current films and overseas movies and news. Since it was only a three day outing, we left the next morning after the continental breakfast. However, Jill Parker continued on another trip to Ohio and several other places. Dan Brott and Kiyoko went to Winslow to visit their granddaughter and then on to Las Vegas. Jeff Rose and the Campos family remained for another day. It turned out to be a fun outing, but it was rather short. 7
