5 More Information on Tours The Model T Club has invited us to join them in a tour to the Toy Store in Salinas on Mar 19. Details to follow from Tony. Jeremy mentioned the Easter Parade in Campbell. He will provide details. Greetings! 1912 Buick Model 28 My dad tells me that he was one of the founders of the Horseless Carriage Club in the Santa Clara Valley, which I guess would have been founded in the 40 s. He has a 1912 Buick Model 28 that s been sitting in parts for about 65 years, as he never got the time to put it back together after he took it apart. He is 93 years old and fortunately still has his wits about him and is still a member of the HCC. Lately it has occurred to me that if we don t dispose of it before he s gone we ll never be able to locate and identify all the parts. It also occurred to me that it would be great if someone in this area could restore it so he could see it restored. It is garaged in San Jose. So this is a shot in the dark, but I thought I d reach out to you to find out if anybody might be interested in this and how to determine a fair price, since I don t have any experience with old cars. I know the Gazette has classified ads, but I thought I d start locally. Thanks for any help you can give me. Best wishes, Dave Spitzer 4
6 HCCA NATIONAL NEWS Re: HCCA Information and Documents, HCCA 2017 and 2018 Annual Convention Issue: #02 HCCA Information and Documents Project Over the past year, we have been working on developing, creating and storing digital documents for visitors, members and directors that visit the HCCA web site. During the past year, the delivery time line was expanded to address and fix gaps in information by finding answers to common questions. So far over 60 documents have been created and saved to digital documents and or picture files. A master document describing the content of the project has been created that identifies the content and organization of website storage pages - Topic folder groups, Titles, descriptions, Document file name, and access limitation (World, HCCA Members, Directors). The web site Test pages have been created (they are not yet viewable by members) for storage of the files. The next step is to install the files in the test area and test the viewing We will keep you apprised Cost of Services In order to better manage the finances of the organization, the finance committee has worked on finding better investments for capital. For the management of expenses, a cost of services document has been created to review the costs of each HCCA service Office, Magazine and Web Site.
