In the context of intense global competition and pressing ecological concerns, social, human and environmental progress is now more essential than ever. It's essential for our own needs today, but it's above all crucial to ensure that we do not compromise those of future generations. Le Palais des Festivals et des Congrès de Cannes has decided to accept this challenge which is above all a question of ethics. Our integrated Quality, Environment and Safety management system, fits perfectly into our ecofriendly approach and reflects a desire to meet the expectations of events organizers. The company has developed a service quality culture, which is based not only on implementing an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software dedicated to managing events, but also by having a permanent commitment to employees, an environmental culture, which includes recycling waste at events and a health & safety culture thanks to the numerous training programmes delivered. Drawing on the 7 values - Ethics, Respect, Cohesion, Professionalism, Creativity, Performance and Ambition - at the core of our company culture, the Palais des Festivals et des Congrès de Cannes took the decision in 2008 to carry out a QES certification procedure based on the following international standards: ISO 900 (Quality), ISO 400 (Environment) and OHSAS 800 (Health and Safety) and by signing the Diversity Charter on 6 June A world first! After becoming the first European congress centre to receive triple certification, the Palais des Festivals et des Congrès de Cannes continued its commitment in 202 by signing up to the ISO voluntary standard for Corporate Social Responsibility, thereby confirming its target level of excellence. There is no denying the attractiveness of Cannes and its Palais. However, increasingly the choice of both the destination and the congress centre is also becoming an environmental issue for our clients. 4 visit visit 5

4 ISO SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT Understanding the ISO standards The Palais des Festivals et des Congrès guarantees the application of four standards by implementing a policy aimed at increasing customer satisfaction while still respecting the environment and working conditions. SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT Le Palais des Festivals et des Congrès commits to sustainable development. ISO The ISO 9 00 standard requires - a sustainable improvement in performance and services, - products supplied meet customer expectations and comply with existing statutory regulations on a permanent basis. The ISO 4 00 standard covers - full staff commitment to a policy of reducing reliance on natural resources, energy and paper, - waste management through increased recycling, - contributing to saving and improving the lifestyle of employees and residents of Cannnes, - permanent improvement of its environmental performance. The OHSAS 8 00 standard attests - the continued and permanent improvement in the prevention of workplace hazards, - a safe and healthy working environment guaranteed for all the staff and stakeholders. The ISO standard reflects our willingness to - consider the expectations and interests of our customers, suppliers, partners and all our stakeholders within our sphere of influence. - structure our approach around seven key issues, related to our core values: Governance (Professionalism, ambition), Human rights, workplace relations and conditions (Respect, Coherence, Creativity), the environment and good business practices (Ethics) and finally the consumer related questions (performance). Recyclable carpets Use of eco-friendly materials. Almost sqm of carpet are used by the Palais each year to cover the aisles and walkways in the exhibition areas. Now this worn carpet is transformed and reused by manufacturing other polypropylene goods. Since 2007, a recycling chain has been set up: special bins - recycling centre - transport to recycling plant. In total about 08 tons of carpet were recycled in 203. Sorting - reduction of waste Glass, paper, plastic materials and PVC signs. Energy savings - Everyone: staff, customers and stakeholders are motivated to use energy wisely, - Energy savings through the technological development of light bulbs, - And less energy intensive facilities (air conditioning, ) CO2 Reductions Le Palais des Festivals et des Congrès plans to develop a local exchange policy. Currently 40% of all services are performed by local service providers, thereby reducing the transport distance and consequently, CO2 emissions. The future target is set at 65 %. 6 visit visit 7

These offices are easy to locate at your arrival. The Palais des Festivals et des Congrès has invested in the human and technological resources necessary to ensure that events run smoothly. For events, the security service can draw on up to 500 security personnel depending on event requirements. It enables us to set up and dismantle events without disrupting the city. Logistics can provide stand clearance, reusable and recycling services during set up and dismantling periods. Dismantling procedure: Stands earmarked for destruction must be placed on pallets. Please order from the Palais des Festivals et des Congrès. Through stringent scheduling we can gain extra space hire days. Measures include barrier systems, marking off unloading areas around the Palais, traffic flow management and lorry and truck parking. During events: Cleaning and tidying of all spaces used (conference rooms, auditoriums ) ready for 8am opening every morning. Stand cleaning nightly delivered clean for 8am the next day : floor vacuuming, waste paper basket emptying, dusting of offices and chairs.
