1 Airline Extension Policies Extension request prior to departure are made through their website Gil Travel s Israel Trip Flight Extensions not by telephone. Gil travels website is updated prior to each new season and should be checked for updates and requirements to process extensions. This is the link to the main page for those who wish to extend on Taglit-Birthright Israel trips. Extend your stay in Israel with Gil Travel s Israel Trip Flight Extensions It is highly recommended that extensions be arranged prior to departure as seats are subject to availability, contract specifications, and specific classes of service by the airlines. Some fees may seem less after the departure but the availability of seats are limited, not guaranteed and time consuming to finalize in Israel. Extensions are NOT guaranteed. It is NOT recommended for you to make on-going plans prior to departure until Gil Travel has notified you that your return is confirmed from Israel. You as the traveler must ensure that you are in possession of a valid passport with an expiration date of six months or more from the intended return date. It is the participants responsibility to contact the airline if they are not flying on the original or new extended return date. Participants who are no-show on their return risk having their return ticket deemed null and void and will be responsible to buy a oneway ticket return at their expense. Participants who no show their return flight are subject to forfeit their deposit. Extensions: Passport MUST be valid for 6months after the requested extended date. Participants that are ticketed for extensions and cancels their trip, forfeits all fees paid to Gil Travel and the airline. Cancel or change of return date once in Israel must be done prior to the date of return. Please review carefully each airline requirements and fees. Aeroflot Russian Airlines: subject to change.. Extension prior to departure is $ subject to seat availability. If original class/code fare is not available an upsell to the next airfare may be available. Requires minimum of 14days before departure to confirm the change of return date request.
