1 Cumberland County Utility Codinating Committee Minutes of May 7, 2015 Meeting Location: PWC Operations Center Water Construction Conference Room 955 Old Wilmington Rd, Fayetteville, NC Kenny Hart called the meeting to der and welcomed everyone. Members present: Jeff Bartley NC 811 Bill Hammond NCDOT Kenny Hart PWC Water Construction Hect Cruz Town of Hope Mills Public Wks Sheila Burns Utilities Plus Member Project Discussions: Jeff Bartley of NC811 presented a video update from NC811 direct Louis Panzer. May is National Electric Safety Month. There will be a Pipes Plus meeting in Fayetteville August 14. Registration will begin at 7:00 and the presentation will begin at 7:30. The April blood drive was a success, another drive is scheduled f August. 811 has a Safe Digging Partner Campaign in progress now. Interested parties may acquire stickers f their vehicles noting they are Safe Digging Partners. The next meeting of the NC811 Board will be on July 17. Contact Stephanie Brown if you would like to attend. The next NC811 holiday is Monday, May 25, Memial Day. Bill Hammond gave updates from the NCDOT. Wk is ongoing on several sections of the I-295 project. The section between Yadkin Road and Bragg Boulevard is scheduled f completion August Wk at Grove Street and Eastern Boulevard is ongoing with an expected completion date of September Road widening projects are ongoing on Murchison Road, Legion Road, Camden Road, and NC 24. Camden Road has multiple widening projects. Two of the projects extend from NC162 to Owen Drive. The other project is at the intersection with Rockfish Road; this project is scheduled f completion in June Bridge replacements are ongoing on US 301 over the Cape Fear River and Cross Creek. The road may be reopening to traffic in May while the project is expected to be completed by September

2 2015. Grading, drainage and paving wk are ongoing on Glensfd Drive. The project is expected to be completed July NCDOT Resurfacing projects are ongoing as well. Another project is scheduled f Galatia Church Road between Stoney Point Road and Gillis Hill Road, the project will involve an intersection improvement. Hect Cruz with the Town of Hope Mills Public Wks noted the stmwater drainage project at the municipal complex is complete. PWC is currently conducting wk on Lakeview Drive in Hope Mills. There is a new development planned f construction off of Fisher Road and a stmwater improvement project planned f West Patterson Drive. Cruz also stated the town is in the process of developing paving specifications. Kenny Hart with PWC WR Construction stated their wk on Colinwood Drive and McPherson Church Road is nearing completion. The group is also perfming maintenance and repair wk in conjunction with several DOT projects including Bragg Boulevard, Russell Street, and Owen Drive. A contract, Woodland Vegetation Management, is spraying PWC rights of way to inhibit the growth of trees. PWC also has new contracts helping with asphalt and concrete restation: Sellers & Sons (concrete) and Diamond Constructs (asphalt). Heitkamp, a contract perfming water main rehab wk, is currently in the Vansty Street area and the Nth Street area. The next scheduled meeting of the Cumberland County Utilities Codinating Committee will be held on Thursday, June 4, 2015.
