3 Monroe Project: Reconstruct Route 104 (W. Ridge Road) in Greece- Phase II, Monroe County Start Date: October 2004 Scheduled Completion: Fall 2008 Project Limits/Description: This project will reconstruct Route 104 (Ridge Road) between the intersection at Elmgrove/N. Greece Road and NY 390. The existing pavement will be reconstructed and widened to accommodate three lanes of travel in both directions, with dedicated right turn lanes and a raised median. The drainage system will be replaced. In addition, the bridges that carry Route 104 over 390 will be replaced, as well as the entire sidewalk system within the project limits. New timed traffic signals, street lighting, pavement markings and signs will also be upgraded and replaced. Space for bicycles will be provided throughout the project area. Temporary widening will maintain two lanes in either direction throughout the primary construction phase Project: Rehabilitation of Interstate 490 in Rochester (Western Gateway), Monroe County Project Start Date: July 2007 Scheduled Completion: December 2009 Project Limits/Description: The project extends from the Erie Canal (Exit 9A) to the Genesee River (Exit 15). This contract includes much bridge work including the replacement of the bridge that carries I-490 over Mt. Read Blvd. Noise barriers will be constructed between Ames Street and Mt. Read Blvd. ITS Components to manage traffic, including two dynamic message boards and a vehicle detection system will be expanded. 4 Project: Reconstruction and Resurfacing on Route 153 in East Rochester, Monroe County Start Date: July 2007 Scheduled Completion Date: December 2008 Project Limits/Description: The project limits are from Route 96 to West Commercial Street. The section between Route 96 and Route 31F will be resurfaced and essentially complete. The section between Route 31F and West Commercial Street will be reconstructed. Improvements will be made to the Route 96 intersection by removing the slip lane. All driveways will be accessible. 4ITV.07 Project: Installation of Traffic Management Equipment Along Interstate 390 in Gates and Chili, Monroe County Start Date: July 2007 Scheduled Completion Date: July 2008 Project Limits/Description: I390 from Scottsville Road to I390/490 interchange. The installation of fiber optic cable, closed circuit television cameras, variable message boards, and vehicle detection units will be installed for traffic management purposes. Bristol, Ontario County Start Date: March 2008 Scheduled Completion Date: September 2008 Project Limits/Description: Four bridges and one box culvert that carry Route 64 in the Towns of Bristol and S. Bristol, Ontario County, between Bristol Center and Bristol Mountain Ski Resort will be replaced. 10 Orleans Project: Replacement of Route 98 Bridge over Beardsley Creek in Carlton, Orleans County Start Date: Spring 2008 Scheduled Completion Date: December (Bridge will be re-opened by June 30) Project Limits/Description: The bridge is located one half mile south of the intersection of Route 18. 12 Wyoming Project: Realignment of Route 63 (Peoria Curve) in Covington, Wyoming County Start Date: November 2007 Scheduled Completion Date: December 2008 Project Limits/Description: The road will be realigned to eliminate the sharp curve between Court St. and Livingston County Line. Upon completion of the intersection work, Route 63 will be closed for four weeks.
