4 X X X aken from the view of our car, these photos illustrate the physical setting of oute through ioga ounty. espite the weather, this trip enabled us to experience the highway in a more personal manner. hroughout the trip we took note of various levels of development. ach of these diagrams represent different types of experiences along oute in ioga ounty. ooking into the experiential quality, we focused on enclosure, visibility, and development. e simplified each to include a combination of either hills, slopes, trees, buildings and houses. e thought it was important to simplify them in order to compare and contrast amongst them. istoric oute he ennsylvania tate niversity istoric oute he ennsylvania tate niversity

5 he ennsylvania tate niversity istoric oute. iles = :,. iles = :, of hese areas identify where pipelines intersect with oute, and unconventional wells are within. miles. he ennsylvania tate niversity istoric oute X he diagrams described prior have been referenced to their specified position along oute. nterestingly, we found that the majority of the experiences fall under areas of development or expansive views. his portion of oute, through ioga ounty, encompasses a variety of settings ranging from enclosed forests views to wide views of farmland. his map identifies the unconventional wells that are within the small watersheds intersecting with oute. here are. he majority of them are located towards the astern side of the county, past ansfield. his map shows the pipelines that intersect with oute. here are two types of pipeline: interstate and intrastate. nterstate represent pipelines running through multiple state, intrastate represent pipelines strictly within. verlaying the unconventional wells with the pipelines that intersect with the highway provide areas of high concentration. hese areas lie within ellsboro and just ast and est of ansfield.

6 of, -,, -, <, = :,. iles = :,. iles = :,. iles rimary amenities consist of categories such as food and drink, accommodations, and transportation services. hese types of amenities and resources are primary because they are deemed necessities. istoric oute upplemental amenities are made up of retail, services, sports and recreation, as well as entertainment. ultural resources and amenities such as these are extracurricular. = :,. iles y overlaying both the primary and supplementary resources, we found the areas of concentration lie within the towns of ansfield and ellsboro as towards the edge of the estern county line. he ennsylvania tate niversity ere, five foot contour lines show the topographical characteristics of the county. he lighter the contour line, the lower the elevation. he darker the contour line, the higher the elevation. istoric oute his visibility analysis looks at what the driver can see from oute. he majority of the land adjacent to the road is visible, with the exception of some areas where forests and trees block the view. he combination of overlaying the topography and the visibility maps gave us a deeper understanding of where the best views are. sing this and our personal experience, this map shows where the views are located. he ennsylvania tate niversity
