1 Pax Load Factor (%) Pax Carried (in Lakhs) Subject: Performance of domestic airlines for the year Traffic data submitted by various domestic airlines has been analysed for the month of November Following are the salient features: Passenger Growth Passengers carried by domestic airlines during Jan-Nov 2016 were lakhs as against lakhs during the corresponding period of previous year thereby registering a growth of 23.10% (Ref Table 1) YoY Growth: YoY = % MoM = % MoM Passenger Load Factor The passenger load factors of various scheduled domestic airlines in Nov 2016 are as follows (Ref Table 2): Air India Jet Airways JetLite Spicejet Go Air IndiGo Air Costa Air Asia Vistara Trujet Air Carnival 1
2 The passenger load factor in the month of Nov 2016 has almost remained constant compared to previous month primarily due to the end of tourist season. Cancellations The overall cancellation rate of scheduled domestic airlines for the month of Nov 2016 has been 1.17%. Airline-wise details of cancellations are as follows: Air Carnival Trujet Go Air IndiGo Air India Jet Airways Vistara Spicejet Air Costa JetLite Air Asia Cancellation Rate (%) Various reasons of cancellations are indicated below: Technical 11.4% Conse/Misc 36.0% Operational 1 Commercial 1.7% Weather 40.9% 2
3 Passenger Complaints during the month During November 2016, a total of 951 passenger related complaints had been received by the scheduled domestic airlines. The number of complaints per 10,000 passengers carried for the month of November 2016 has been 1.1. The airline-wise details are as follows: Jet Airways+Jetlite 2.6 Air India (dom) 2.5 Air Carnival 1.1 Air Costa 1.0 Go Air 0.8 Trujet 0.7 Air Asia 0.7 Spicejet 0.6 IndiGo 0.3 Vistara No. of Complaints/10,000 Pax Various reasons of passenger complaints are indicated below: Catering 0.2% Staff Behaviour 12.7% Others 4.4% Fare Refund 6.2% Disability 1.7% Customer Service 21.9% Flight Problem 3 Baggage 18.9% 3

Compliance of Route Dispersal Guidelines Airline-wise Compliance of Route Dispersal Guidelines during the month of Nov 2016 is given in the following table.
