The airport experienced positive passenger growth for the 28th consecutive month with respect to the year over year monthly increases. During the first three quarters of 2017, RNO served 3,051,651 passengers, an increase of 10.0% when compared to the same period in In September 2017, RNO was served by eight airlines providing 1,748 departures to 21 nonstop destinations (23 nonstop destinations if seasonal flights are included). At RNO, total seat capacity increased 8.1% and flights increased 2.4% when compared to September RNO, handled 12,436,806 pounds of air cargo in September 2017, a decrease of 6.8% when compared to September During the first three quarters of 2017, RNO handled 112,774,237 pounds of air cargo, a decrease of 0.9% when compared to the same period last year. Starting November 21, 2017, Frontier Airlines will begin nonstop flights between RNO and Denver International Airport (DEN) three times a week. The airline will offer this service on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays, on 180seat Airbus A320 aircraft. The RNODEN route is also served by United Airlines and Southwest Airlines. Starting January 3, 2018, Alaska Airlines will introduce Embraer E175 aircraft on Select routes at RNO. The E175 aircraft is a 76seat jet, and offers more space than the Bombardier Q400 aircraft, which is currently being utilized by Alaska Airlines at RNO.

Volaris served 2,413 passengers during the month of September 2017, a decrease of 18.5% when compared to September Cargo In September 2017, DHL reported an increase of 24.3% in cargo tonnage and UPS increased 1.6% when compared to September FedEx reported a decrease of 13.3% during the same period.

7 Recent and Upcoming Schedule Changes Alaska Airlines Starting November 5, 2017, Alaska Airlines reduced the number of daily flights between Reno and Portland from three times a day to twice a day. The airline returns to the three times a day schedule on January 2, Allegiant Air Allegiant Air operates nonstop flights between Reno and Las Vegas three times a week. The airline offers this service on Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays. Starting November 15, 2017, the airline will offer this service five to six times a week. American Airlines On November 6, 2017, American Airlines temporarily suspended the daily nonstop flights between Reno and Chicago O Hare International Airport. This flight returns on December 15, American Airlines offers twice a day nonstop service between Reno and Dallas Fort Worth International Airport. The airline will offer this route three times a day from December 18, 2017, through January 8, Delta Air Lines Delta Air Lines nonstop seasonal flight between Reno and Atlanta will operate daily from December 22, 2017, through January 2, Starting January 6, 2018, the airline will operate this route on weekends only through the winter season. Delta Air Lines nonstop seasonal flight between Reno and Minneapolis will operate daily from December 21, 2017, through January 2, Starting February 24, 2018, the airline will operate this route on Saturdays only through the winter season. JetBlue Airways The nonstop flight between Reno and New York City will operate four to five days a week until December 14, 2017, before returning to the daily schedule. United Airlines United Airlines will increase the number of nonstop flights between Reno and Denver from twice a day to three/four times a day from December 20, 2017, through January 7, The airline returns to the twice a day schedule on January 8, United Airlines nonstop seasonal flight between Reno and Houston Intercontinental Airport will operate as a daily service from December 20, 2017, through January 7, The airline will offer this route on Saturdays and Sundays, from January 13, 2018, through February 11, 2018, before returning to the daily schedule on February 15, 2018, until March 18, United Airlines nonstop seasonal flight between Reno and Chicago O Hare will operate as a Saturday/ Sunday service from December 23, 2017, through the winter season. Southwest Airlines The nonstop seasonal flight between Reno and Dallas Love Field was temporarily suspended on September 30, This flight returned as a Sunday Only or Saturday/Sunday service on November 5, 2017, until April 7, The daily nonstop seasonal flight between Reno and Chicago Midway was temporarily suspended on November 5, This flight will return to the regular schedule on March 8, 2018.

8 Volaris The nonstop flight between Reno and Guadalajara, Mexico operates on Mondays and Fridays. Starting November 22, 2017, the airline will resume to the three times a week schedule (Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays). Volaris will operate this route four times a week from December 18, 2017, through January 5, 2018 (Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays).
