2 2 Pilot choosing principles in Vyborg and Vsevolozhsk rayon streets: 1. The pilot should be a spot with perspective if to be improved, it would give the shortest paying-back period. 2. The pilot should impact on pedestrian and cyclist safety 3. For budgetary reasons: it should be in municipality-owned road/street network 4. Maximum total summary budget for pilots (equipment like signs and road marking materials) is about 5,8 MRUR
3 Light traffic black spots on the streets of Vsevolozhsk CITY: 3
4 Light traffic black spots on the streets of Vsevolozhsk CITY: 4 Low cost measures to Alexandrovskaya street section between Octoberskaya and Doroga Zizn: - Better visibility of the pedestrian crossings high fluorescence signs (no and ) surrounded with yellow edge - making zebra- marking on ordinary road marking materials - dangerous road section warning signs - speed limit 40 km/h (from current 60 km/h and its intensive enforcement on 20 pedestrian crossings over Alexandrovskaya would - cost 0,7 MRUR - save 0,83 injured annually (worth 2 million RUR) Paying-back-period is 4 months (costs 0,7 MRUR / benefits 2 MRUR)
