Edinburgh Park and South Gyle Railway Station directly serve over 30 stations located in Lothian, Central Scotland, Fife and Tayside. A free shuttle bus operates from the train station for Park occupiers during peak times. Fastlink is a new transport initiative providing a bus service running on private and public roads between Edinburgh Airport and the city centre with stops in the Park including Edinburgh Park Station. In addition four bus companies serve Edinburgh Park and the adjacent Gyle Shopping Centre. The buses cover an extensive catchment area throughout central Scotland. By 2012 the new tram route linking the airport to the city centre, through the Park, will be operating. AMENITIES Edinburgh Park benefits from an on site bar, restaurant, and creche. Although there are retail outlets on the Park, the Gyle Shopping Centre sits adjacent to the Park. 4 EDINBURGH PARK The Edinburgh Park masterplan was originally designed by Richard Meier with contemporary office buildings overlooking extensive landscape and water features. New Edinburgh Limited has developed the Park with the first occupier, John Menzies, taking occupancy in Over 121,000 sqm (1.3m sqft ) of accommodation has been developed on the Park which has an outline consent for over 279,000 sqm (3m sqft). Although take-up in Edinburgh Park has been relatively slow since 2002, increased activity has resulted in the vacancy rate reducing from approximately 30% to below 14% in the last 18 months. Only 7 Lochside View offers new space on the Park to occupiers. Part of 7 Lochside View has been let to Applecross with further accommodation currently under offer. EDINBURGH PARK MANAGEMENT LIMITED The whole of Edinburgh Park is managed by Edinburgh Park Management Limited (EPML).
