Free Backpacks will be given out filled with school supplies to each registered child that attends the event, Just be sure to fill out the bottom portion of this form to register your child. Each food unit costs $ Specials are individually priced. Do I qualify? Yes, everyone qualifies. There are no income requirements to participate. What form of payment is accepted? Cash or EBT are accepted at time of order. When/where can I place an order? Call The Recreation Dept at to place an order. Payment of $15.50 must be cash or by using food stamp (FS) benefits. At the time of ordering the person noted on card must bring benefit card and ID. How much food is in a package? A standard food unit contains items, Including fresh fruits and vegetables, meats, and staple food items. The value of the package varies but averages about $ Tell me about food pick-up. Tackman I d like to invite you to make the most out of the nice weather and come out to Ellis Field Park located at 500 McCool Ave. The Village is lucky to have the best local Park in the area. The Parks major attractions include a community swimming pool, playground equipment, basketball and tennis courts, baseball diamonds, and a pavilion. Parks Director Tom Richardson has put together a full slate of activities, trips and events for everyone. There are special family events and daily and weekly activities throughout the summer. The Village trips are always well attended so sign up early to reserve your spot. Also lined up are some really great musical acts at the Gazebo on Wednesday evenings in July. This year marks the 39 th year for our annual Community Weekend with an old fashion Ice Cream Social on Friday night and the spectacular Fireworks display and East Syracuse s own Dan Elliot & the Monteray s on Saturday, July 11 th. Don t miss it. Summertime is a wonderful time in the Village. I look forward to seeing everyone out and about enjoying the best time of year!
