All children six years and under must be supervised by a paid adult swimmer. Supervisory adult must be within arm s reach of the child at all times. Pool Rental The Albert Lea Aquatic Center is available on a limited basis for group gatherings. Fees include cost of supervision and lifeguards. Birthday Party Package 5-10 guests, plus 2 chaperones $ Additional guests are $2.50 per person (At least one adult supervisor must be present with the group) Birthday Party Package Includes: Admission An intercom birthday welcome to the birthday boy/girl Reserved space with 2 picnic tables for the birthday party group A day filled with lasting memories and fun with your friends and family Option of bringing cake/cupcakes into the Aquatic Center (this is the only time outside food is allowed in) Two Dollar Tuesdays Each person only pays $2.00 (includes tax) to enter the aquatic facility. Children 2 and under are $1.00 (tax included). Grandparents Day One free grandparent admission with one paid swimmer on Mondays throughout the summer. In this fun class we will use noodles, aquatic gloves and barbell floaters. There will be NO class scheduled during Fair Week. 12th Annual Doggie Dip Bring your puppy dog out for some fun in the sun! Dogs must have proof of current vaccinations. Human companions will take full responsibility for their pups. Chemicals will be adjusted for the different breed of swimmer. We will have many different activities, sports and fitness demonstrations, arts and crafts booths, hobbies, health & wellness, music and more! Food and beverages will be available for purchase. Kids Art in the Park Wednesday, June pm Morin Park Enjoy an evening of art! Sidewalk chalk mural contest with prize give-a-ways. Come and decorate your mural anytime from 4-5:45 pm. Judging will begin at 6 pm. Entertainment will begin at 5:45 pm (bring a t-shirt to tie-dye). Sidewalk chalk will be provided for murals. All Special Events are FREE! Equipment Check Out Did you know that you can check out basketballs, horseshoes and even bocce ball equipment at the Albert Lea Aquatic Center? Stop by with a photo ID (license/school) and pick up equipment to use at the on-site basketball and bocce ball courts or the horseshoe pits at Frank Hall Park. There is no fee! This event is a fun-filled course of obstacles, hills, water and mud. Sign up by August 6th to ensure a t-shirt Waiver must be signed. Appropriate footwear required to participate MUST preregister at the City Arena or www. cityofalbertlea.org. Summer Carnival Wednesday, July pm Fountain Lake Park Join us for an afternoon of carnival games, face painting, bouncy, and more! Bring your camera for our photo booth! Food and drinks available for purchase. Parents Night Out! Friday, July 13 Drop-off any time 5:30 pm and after. Pick-up by 10:00 pm Edgewater Park Cottage. $8 for first child, $4 for each additional child Ages 3-12 years Kids can enjoy games, scavenger hunts, kickball, arts and crafts, while parents enjoy the night off. Kids-Only Camp Out August 9-10 Drop-off kids Thursday at 1 pm at Brookside Boat Landing and pick-up next day at 9 am at Edgewater Park Cottage. $15 in town $20 out of town (includes meals) Ages 7-13 Come and enjoy canoeing, scavenger hunts, games, a guided night hike and many more camp activities. Items to bring will be handed out when you register. Some tents will be available, but if you have your own we encourage you to bring it. We will be canoeing from Brookside Boat Landing to Edgewater Park. Camp out is sponsored by Parks and Recreation and ISD #241 Environmental Learning Center.

Parks & Recreation rents facilities at Edgewater, Pioneer and Fountain Lake Parks. Facilities must be rented for a minimum of two hours, (cancellations must be made 30 days prior to use to receive a refund) No refunds due to weather. Prices do not include 7.875% sales tax. All parks and facilities are tobacco free and alcohol is not allowed in the park. For information on prices contact our office at or online at Inclusion Support The Arc of Freeborn County provides inclusion facilitators for children and adults with disabilities who would like to participate in parks and recreation programs. They have caring, compassionate staff who are ready to help make each experience successful. Registration for these programs is done through Parks and Recreation. After registering, contact Parks and Recreation so that we may discuss needs/accommodations for yourself or your child. We require a minimum of two weeks notice for a successful inclusion experience. Photo Policy The City of Albert Lea may photograph participants in programs and special events, or people in parks or on park property, and use these images in City materials to promote activities, events and facilities. Images also may be used by media representatives to illustrate coverage of events, programs and facilities of City public parks and recreation program. The photos are not made available for commercial/ private sector marketing and advertising, endorsement, trade or sales.
