2 4-H Center (Maryland) 7100 Connecticut Ave. Chevy Chase, MD I-495 North across American Legion Bridge; take Exit 33, Connecticut Ave, North/Kensington; cross East-West Highway, 4-H Center on right. Aberdeen Proving Grounds Aberdeen, MD mi. Take I-495 to I-95 North to the Fort McHenry Tunnel. Go Through the tunnel to Exit 87 (Aberdeen) to Exit 22 South. Go straight to the Proving Grounds. Bus Parking available. Accokeek Foundation 3400 Bryan Point Rd. Accokeek, MD 50+ mi. I-495/95 across the Wilson Bridge, take exit 2A (the first exit) to Rt. 210, Indian Head Highway. Follow Rt. 210 south about 9 miles. After you pass Farmington Road, you will take the next right onto the Bryan Point access road; Go left at the first stop sign, and right at the second stop sign onto Bryan Point Road. Follow Bryan Point Road about 3.5 miles to the end. Make a right into the Visitors Accotink Bay Wildlife Environmental Education Fort Belvoir, VA I-95 south to exit 166, take the Fairfax County Parkway (Rt. 7100) south to the end, then turn left on Rt. 1 (north). Proceed to the main entrance of Fort Belvoir, Pence Gate, and make a right on Belvoir Rd. Let the Military Police know that you are going to the ABWR Environmental Education Center. You will need your *driver's license* and a copy of your *vehicle registration*. Once registered, continue on Belvoir Rd. to the 1st traffic light. Turn right on 12th St., continue to the 2nd traffic light and turn left on Theote Rd. After about 1/2 mile, take a right at the "Y" on to Warren Rd., continue on Warren Rd. down to the water and bear right along the water to the center. Parking is on the left. Chantilly, VA I-66 West to Route 28 North (Exit 53B): Travel on Route 28 North for 5.3 miles. Exit at Air and Space Museum Parkway and follow the signs to the Steven F. Udvar-Hazy Center. Continue about 2 miles to school on right (Rio Rd will become Hydraulic Rd). Alexandria Courthouse 520 King St. Alexandria, VA From I-495/95 take Exit 177B (Rt. 1 north, Old Town Alexandria). Turn right on King St., go 2 blocks. Courthouse is on the right. Alexandria Gazette 717 N. Saint Asaph St. Alexandria, VA From I-495/95, take exit 177B (Rt. 1 North, Old Town Alexandria), stay on Rt. 1 to Duke St. (Rt. 236), turn right. Turn left on St. Asaph St., go 6 blocks. Gazette is on the right. Algonkian Regional Park Fairway Dr. Sterling, VA I-495 to Route 7, west 11 miles to Cascades Parkway north, and drive 3 miles to the park entrance. -OR- Rt. 28 north to Rt. 7, east on Rt. 7 to Cascades Parkway, north. American University 4400 Massachusetts Av., NW Washington, DC From I-66, take the Rosslyn/Key Bridge Exit(#73), turn left to Key Bridge; after the bridge, turn left on M St., stay in the right lane & continue on Foxhall Rd; go to the end & turn right on Nebraska Ave. American U. will be on the left. -OR- From I-395, take the Memorial Bridge exit. Cross the bridge & go around to your right back under the bridge, follow signs to the Whitehurst Freeway; take the Whitehurst Freeway to M St., turn left on M St. & continue as above. American Visionary Arts Museum 800 Key Hwy. Baltimore, MD mi. I-495 to Maryland, to Exit 27, I-95 N to Baltimore. Take exit 55/Key Highway. At the bottom of the ramp, make a left onto Key Highway. Bear to right on I-395, and exit to the 11th St. Bridge, continue on Martin Luther King Jr. Ave. to fourth light (Morris Rd.) and turn left. The Museum will be at 18th Place. Andrews Air Force Base Allentown Rd. Suitland, MD I-495/95 across Wilson Bridge to exit 9. Turn right on Allentown Rd. 1/2 mile to main gate on left. Annandale Community Park 4030 Hummer Rd. Annandale, VA From I-495, take exit 52B (Annandale) onto Rt Turn left at the first light onto Hummer Rd. Go down the hill & turn left into park. Annandale High School 4700 Medford Dr. Annandale, VA From I-495 exit 52B to Rt. 236 East (Little River Tpk towards Annandale). Go to the second traffic light, turn right on Medford Dr. Archbishop Carroll High School 4300 Harewood Rd. Washington, DC Take I-395 north into D.C., after the bridge, bear right to stay on 395, take the U.S.Capitol/395 exit. Follow 395 North until it ends at New York Avenue. Make a right onto New York Avenue, and continue bearing right, taking M Street eastbound. Follow M Street to North Capitol Street. Turn left onto North Capitol Street. Proceed north on North Capitol Street, crossing over Michigan Avenue. At your next traffic light (Harewood Road), make a right. East from Bailey's Crossroads (Rt. 7); turn Right on Four Mile Run Dr.; Park is on the right, after S. 13 Carderock Recreation Area Clara Barton Pkwy. Carderock, MD I-495 north across the American Legion Bridge into Maryland. Get in the right lane on the bridge, this is an exit only lane for the Clara Barton Parkway (Exit 41). The exit ramp forks very soon after you exit. Take the left fork for Carderock. This will put you on westbound Clara Barton Parkway, Take the first exit off the parkway, make a left at the top of the ramp. Carter Baron Parking Lot 16th St & Morrow Dr., NW Washington, DC (From the National Zoo) Right (North) on Connecticut Ave. Right on Nebraska Ave. Right on Military Rd. Follow through the park to 16th St. N.W., right on Morrow Dr., turn right and there is a parking lot behind the tennis complex. Catholic University 620 Michigan Ave., NE Washington, DC Take I-395 north into D.C., after the bridge, bear right to stay on 395, take the U.S. Capitol/395 exit. Go through the tunnel and exit to New Jersey Ave. Turn right on H St., turn left on North Capitol St., turn right on Michigan Ave. Catoctin Zoo Catoctin Furnace Rd Thurmont, MD mi. Take I-495 North/West across the American Legion Bridge. Bear left onto I-270 north, continue on I-270 to Frederick, go north on US 40 to US 15. Continue north on US 15 about 14 miles. Central High School 1147 Susan Av. Woodstock, VA mi. I-66 west to I-81. Take I-81 south to the Woodstock exit 283. Turn left and go ½ mile. School is on the right. Cherry Hill Farm Gallahan Rd. Clinton, MD Cross Woodrow Wilson Bridge on I-95/495, take first exit to Rt. 210 (Indian Head Highway), continue south on Rt. 210 for about 5 miles. Turn left on Old Ford Rd., go 2.5 miles, turn left on Gallahan Rd. The farm is 1 mile on your left.
