2 Health and Safety Procedures All visitors to the Porter Instrument Division are expected to abide by all safety posting (such as Safety Glasses) and restricted area access. Visitors: All visitors must sign in at the front desk and receive a visitor badge. Badges: Visitor badges and access cards are issued at the front desk by the receptionist. Return all badges to the receptionist once your visit has concluded. Parking: Visitors should park in designated areas. There are 6 visitor spots in front of the main entrance of Building 1. Safety Glasses: Safety glasses are located at the reception desk, as well as at the entrance to controlled areas. Footwear: Shoes with high heels or open toed shoes are not permitted in the manufacturing areas. Smoking Restriction: Porter is a smoke free workplace. Smoking is prohibited inside all buildings at the facility. For those who chose to smoke, there is a designated area in the grass area between the buildings. Firearms, Drugs and Alcohol All firearms, weapons, illegal drugs and alcohol are strictly prohibited on Porter property. Hazardous Materials and Chemicals Do not handle any chemicals unless you have had the proper training. Do not bring any chemicals onto the Porter campus, regardless of quantity, without Porter approval. Waste Material: Do not dispose of any chemical waste materials without Porter approval. Do not pour anything down drains or storm drains. Injuries and Accidents: Report all injuries, illnesses and accidents to a department supervisor. In an emergency, call 911 on any desk phone.? 3 In the Event of an Emergency Alarm Should you need to evacuate the building, please follow the instructions below. Building One Building Two * Gathering Point 1. Remain in the area and await further instructions. 4. Do not re-enter an evacuated area until it has been cleared by Porter authorities.
