I can't believe it is almost June already. We are headed into a busy summer with all the car shows about every week. On June 9th is the Lake Afton All Wheels Car Show and a week later is the Fathers Day Car Show at the Zoo on June 16th. So you can see June is a very busy month with the meeting and the drive & eat on top of your personal events. There is also road trips in July to South Dakota and another trip to Dillon Colorado in August. May Drive & Eat We had another great turn out for the May drive & eat. Thanks Dick & Connie great job we all had a great time. While we were gathering at the ice arena Kevin Lundberg put on a burn out show for all of us to see. You always know when the Lundbergs are putting new tires on there cars. Thanks Kevin for the show. You can look at the agenda for this year at We will have groups going Wednesday afternoon, Thursday morning, Thursday afternoon, Friday morning, and Friday afternoon. There will be autocrosses, drag racing, fuel economy runs, car shows, poker runs, and mountain tours. There is no preregistration for the event but you do need to be reserving your hotel room. The Tulsa club and we book the Holiday Inn Express for us. In return, we get reduced room rates and a hospitality room. The hotel has an atrium pool and hot tub. If you like peace and quiet, like I do, you will want an outside room. If you like the action, you will want an inside room. Many of us will get the same rooms that we have had for years as the hotel gives 1st choice to returning members. These rooms have been booked since the event last year. For you 1st timers, you need to call the manager, Lynn, during the week at to reserve a room for yourselves. You will have to tell him that you are with the Air Capital Corvette Club; otherwise you will find the motel is full. Do come, I guarantee you will enjoy it. Daryl Burbach Page 3
