8 Priority Projects cont Road Concessions (Includes Longitudinal de la Sierra Road Project) Concessions will be established by the Ministry of Transportation and Communication to improve Peru s road systems and connect rural to urban areas. Such road construction is necessary to permit the laying of pipelines for fiber optic installations. Estimated Investment: $ 3.8 Billion* Award Date: 2013 Additional 430 KM of Highway between the Chilean border and Ica The tender of this road concession will be responsible for the construction, operation, and transfer of 430 kilometers (267 miles) of road sections. Highway stretches will be constructed in the following three groups: Quilca and Arequipa, Matarani and Moquegua, and between Ilo, Tacna, and La Concordia. The duration of the concession is 25 years. Estimated Investment: $71.3 Million* Award Date: 2 nd Q 2012 Lima and Callao Electric Mass Transportation System Line 2 The tender will design, finance, build, supply electromechanical equipment, acquire rolling material, operate and control Line 2 of Lima s Mass Transportation System. Line 2 spans 35 kilometers (approximately 22 miles) and will pass through 12 districts. The concession term will last for 25 years. Estimated Investment: $3.0 Billion* Award Date: 4 th Q 2013

9 Priority Projects cont Mass Use of Natural Gas Nationwide Supplying gas nationwide will require a gas distribution system spanning from North to South Peru. The venture will be a multi project bid in which concessions will be divided. The distribution system will include land and sea transport of liquid or compressed natural gas from the Pampa Melchorita plant to urban areas, construction of regasification facilities on the border of directed urban areas, and supplying natural gas to cities through gas pipelines. Estimated Investment: $600 Million* Award Date: 4 th Q 2013 National Optical Fiber Backbone Network Expanding a broadband in Peru with the installation of a fiber optical network in 195 provinces. Bidders may choose the best routes in order to improve their technical and economic proposals. Estimated Investment: $420 Million* Award Date: 4 th Q 2013 Energy Supply to the City of Iquitos (70MW) The concession will focused on supplying power and energy to Iquitos, a city in Northern Peru. The project will be executed in 2 stages. Companies considered for tender will be responsible for the design and construction of the plant as well as coordinating financing and maintenance. Estimated Investment: $330 Million* Award Date: 4 th Q 2012

10 Priority Projects cont Chavimochic Irrigation Project The Chavimochic Irrigation Project is in its third stage of completion. The entire project involves improving irrigation in 48,000 hectares that already have irrigation and installing systems in 53,000 remaining hectares. The concession and third stage involve development of an automation and improvement system, operation and maintenance of the Chavimonic Irrigation Project, and water supply services. The third stage will also include construction works such as the following: Palo Redondo reservoir, an irrigation system in the Virú siphon, and Moche-Chicama canal. Estimated Investment: $499 Million* Award Date: 1 st Q 2013 LNG Supply System for Domestic Market The concession will involve the design, finance, construction, operation, and maintenance of a gas supply system that will provide gas reserves. Liquified gas will come from the Pampa Melchorita plant 170 kilometers south of Lima. When necessary, the plant will be used to supply thermal plants located in Chilca 64 km South of Lima. Estimated Investment: $400 Million* Award Date: 4 th Q 2012 Molloco Hydroelectric Plant Concession will be awarded for the construction of a hydroelectric plant consisting of three reservoirs with a total capacity of 290 cubic meters and two tunnels of 8 and 4 km in length, allowing two hydraulic jumps of over 1,000 meters for each waterfall for a total capacity of 300 MW of power. A portion of revenue generated by plant will go toward funding student grants and other social endeavors. Estimated Investment: $600 Million* Award Date: September 2012

11 Priority Projects cont New Chinchero International Airport Cuzco The tender s responsibilities will consist of the design, construction, financing, administration, operation, and maintenance of the new airport. Time reserved for the concession will amount to 40 years. Estimated Investment: $420 Million* Award Date: 4 th Q 2013 General San Martin Port Terminal The design, construction, financing, operations, and maintenance of a commercial harbor off of the city of Pisco will be included in the concession. The duration of the port construction and concession is 30 years. Estimated Investment: $101.4 Million* Award Date: 1 st Q 2013 Improvement and Maintenance of Navigability of Amazonian Waterways The tender will focus on the development of the following rivers: Ríos Ucayalí, Huallaga, Marañón and the Amazon. Allocated concessions will include the construction and dredging of rivers to improve navigability and traffic between port terminals of Yurimaguas, Pucallpa, and Iquitos. Estimated Investment: $58.4 Million* Award Date: 2 nd Q 2013
