Location Located 6 miles from the center of the city, and 10 miles from new stadium.
System of public transport The current system of public transport in Lviv, in many respects, is flawed. In particular, in cooperation with experts from Louis Berger, Department of Transportation the City Lviv and National University "Lviv Polytechnic" has developed a network of public transport routes
Main routes 95 Airport - vul.vyhovskoho - vul.v.velykoho - vul.kn.olhy - Sakharova - Kopernika Str - Doroshenko - Svobody Ave -Ave Chornovola -vul. Mazepy -vul. Mykolaychuka - st. 7 New terminal The preparation of Lviv airport for guests of the Championship Euro 2012: reconstruction and lengthening of the runway, apron reconstruction, reconstruction of the existing passenger terminal construction of new terminal.
New terminal Designing a new terminal is made through public funding. The cost of the project works 6.9 million hryvnia. FDI "Tebodin Ukraine" has received an order on the basis of open bidding, which took place in December The new terminal of International airport "Lviv" involves two stages: Stage 1 (2012) involves the construction of a new international passenger terminal with a maximum number of passengers - 1,000 passengers per hour, the construction of an open parking lot for 900 places and indoor parking for 400 spaces. Stage 2 (2020) suggests the expansion of the terminal building and installation of additional equipment to increase passenger numbers up to 2000 passengers per hour. In March 2009 the project was approved at town-planning council of Department of Architecture of Lviv city council, and in August 2009 will receive a positive opinion of urban expertise.
New terminal Based on the limited area allotted for construction, is a three-story terminal building. The project involves such processes: the registration of passengers, customs and immigration control, aviation security control, luggage compartment, large rooms for the passengers on arrival and departure, technical, office space, waiting room to departing.
New terminal The first level will be located common area accessible to all. On the left side of the terminal - the arrival hall and baggage handling area on arrival, customs for passengers flew on the right - the reception area and baggage for departure.
New terminal On the second floor gallery arrivals hall for transit passengers, as well as pre-flight zone for departing passengers, the passport control area for departing / arriving passengers, the customs control area for departing passengers. The third floor is publicly available area with the offices of airlines and separated from her gallery departure, duty-free controls, the waiting room.
New terminal Passenger terminal building includes six boarding bridges, which can simultaneously take two class aircraft Boeing- 767 aircraft and 4 Boeing-737 class. Also provides for eight remote parking on the apron. In the second stage of expansion in 2020 is possible extension of 3 air bridges, which can take an additional class 2 aircraft Boeing-767 aircraft and a Boeing-737 class.
Reconstruction of the existing terminal February 17, 2010 The draft of the reconstruction of the existing terminal international airport "Lviv" was approved at a meeting of architectural and town-planning council in the management architecture. General designer - FDI "Tebodin Ukraine." The project consists of two parts:
Reconstruction of the existing terminal The first part is just the project of reconstruction of the existing terminal, which was built in 1950 in the style of Stalinist classicism, as well as the wooden passenger pavilion and construction in progress of the international sector. Reconstruction of the existing building will be completed in order to receive official delegations VIP passengers (100 people per hour) with arrangement of waiting rooms, conference rooms, cafes, facilities maintenance services for offices and airport management. Facades and valuable elements of the interior will be preserved. Existing terminal area 2600 m 2.
Reconstruction of the existing terminal On the basis of a wooden pavilion and a passenger of an unfinished international sector is supposed to create a modern international terminal for low-cost airlines. The estimated area of the terminal field of reconstruction will be 5000 m 2 The terminal will provide service 300 passengers per hour. The budget allocated by the state to perform the reconstruction and construction of these buildings and structures of 159 million UAH. The second part of the project - a project of reconstruction of the intra-and external engineering networks, which should ensure the normal operation of the airport after its reconstruction. The budget for design work on the reconstruction of the existing terminal and external engineering networks totaled 5.33 million UAH.
Reconstruction of runway The reconstruction project carried out under the Institute "Ukraeroproekt" and cost the national budget of 690 million UAH. In the process of reconstructing the work aprons and lengthen the runway, the length of which increased from 2510 to 3200 m.
Summary Strengths and Training of staff by renowned coaches from Vienna, Toronto Warsaw.
Summary Impression: Training of staff
Summary Weaknesses 1) Huge gaps in the legislation, which may damage realisation or make obstacles to the project realisation. 2) Unfortunately due to location of the airport within the city, according to international standards and accepted values, the airport has certain limitations in the further development and expansion of city boundaries. The main limitation was the ability to build tall buildings. There is no additional opportunity to expand ground parking
Summary Threats Ukraine has not signed an international agreement "Open Skies". This limits the presence of the inexpensive international airlines such as Easy jet, Air Berlin etc.
