Under the Convention, the World Heritage committee established a World Heritage List that includes cultural and natural heritage with outstanding value whose conservation is recognized to be in the interest of all humanity. Jongmyo Royal Shrine is a Confucian shrine dedicated to the spirits of Joseon s kings and queens, Insadong Street, Namdaemun Market, its beautiful architecture and historical significance earned it a spot on the UNESCO World Cultural Heritage site. Day 3 Seoul / Suwon / Seoul Full day tour of Suwon Hwaseong Fortress is an impressive structure from the latter part of the Joseon Dynasty ( ) & Gangwha Dolmen Site They are located on the slopes of mountains and are thus higher in elevation than their counterparts. Day 2 Seoul Morning Tour covers Gyeongbok palace, National Folk Museum, National Museum of Korea, Blue House, Changdeokgung Palace. It is best known for its Secret Garden which is a UNESCO World Cultural Heritages site. Then Jogyesa Temple, one of the largest Buddhist temple within the city limits, famous for its lantern festival which holds every spring to commemorate Buddha s birthday. In the afternoon enjoy shopping at Insadong Antique Street and visit the major galleries of this area and Samcheongdong, end of the day with the visit of Bukchon Traditional Village. Œ Œ Œ Bukchon Village is the most utterly picturesque neighborhood of Seoul. In the middle of two palaces Gyeongbok Palace to the west and Changdeok Palace to the east this village has the largest cluster of privately owned traditional Korean wooden homes or hanok in Seoul.
