" Doug Wilhide, from the poem "My Glacier" Ward 13 Teardown Moratorium On March 7, Council Member Linea Palmisano introduced an ordinance that places a moratorium that affects infill housing in the Linden Hills, Fulton, Armatage, Kenny, and Lynnhurst neighborhoods. This moratorium will stop 1

At this time, the Linden Hills Neighborhood Council has not taken a position on the moratorium. A special meeting is planned on Monday, March 24 at 7:00 p.m. at Linden Hills Park to discuss the issue and hear the comments of concerned residents. This evening, March 17, the LHiNC Zoning Committee will consider the ordinance at its regular monthly meeting at 7:00 p.m. at the Linden Hills Park building. CM Palmisano will attend the meeting to address questions. The public is welcome to attend and comment. The ordinance will be reviewed at a public hearing by the Zoning and Planning Committee on Thursday, March 20 at 9:30 a.m. at City Hall, room 317. Festival Logo Contest Entry deadline Friday, April 25 To celebrate the 40th year of the Festival, LHiNC is inviting neighborhood students, artists and graphic designers to help tell the story of the Linden Hills Festival by submitting ideas for a new logo. Started in 1975, the Festival continues to bring our community together for a day of games, music, food and fun. As the event evolves by including more local restaurants and businesses, we are seeking a new logo that will capture the spirit of the event and the neighborhood. Submission requirements: A high resolution (but no more than 1 MB) digital image and your contact information should be ed to 4
5 with "Logo Contest" in the subject line. All entries will be displayed at the Linden Hills Festival on May 18. The winner will be notified by May 2, and will receive a $50 cash prize and a family membership to the Walker Art Center. The winning logo will be part of the future identity and branding of the Festival and may be used on t- shirts, posters, website and on other media. The winning logo will become the property of the LHINC and the artist will be asked to submit their design in a vector art format (eps or ai file) at 100% with fonts converted to outlines. Festival Volunteers Needed All ages of volunteers are welcome and needed. This is a great opportunity to get involved, meet new people, and support your local community! Visit our website at to sign up for a shift, or contact LHiNC at info@lindenhills.org. Volunteer areas include: ticket sales, art fair/marketplace, silent auction, parade, food service, and entertainment. Donate Books for the Linden Hills Used Book Sale!
