Cherry Point/Havelock Rotary Special Event Set-up (0930 to 1400) o Assist with event set-up at Annunciation Catholic School. o 4 volunteers requested. Habitat for Humanity (0700 to 1330) Wednesday, 24 April 2019 Croatan National Forest (0730 to 1600) o Assist the USDA Forest Service with a variety of projects in the Croatan National Forest. o 60 volunteers requested. Fort Macon State Park Special Projects Prep (0730 to 1400). o Assist with a variety of prep projects in preparation for Friday s event. o Meet at the Roadhouse at 0730; will return around Transportation available. Habitat for Humanity (0700 to 1330) Cherry Point MCX Lego Building Workshop Volunteering (1045 to 1400). POV only. o Assist with registration table, interact with kids building Legos, and photograph event. o 4-6 volunteers requested. Whistle Stop Thrift Shop Beautification (0830 to 1430). o Assist our local Whistle Stop Thrift Shop (on base) with beautification projects. o volunteers requested. Veterans Organic Garden (0800 to 1400). o Help with constructing garden beds, installing fencing material, and other Hurricane recovery projects. Your work on this garden directly benefits our local homeless and disadvantaged Veterans. o 20 to 25 volunteers requested. Boys and Girls Club Play the K (0830 to 1730). o Assist with this special and important event to include food, drinks, manning holes on course, and event breakdown. Attire is collared shirt, closed toed shoes, and professional pants (khaki s/slacks preferred, or dark wash jeans with no rips/holes). o Meet at the Roadhouse at 0830; will return around Transportation available. POV only. o Meet at the Craven County Fairgrounds at 1300 (3700 US-70, New Bern NC 28560); will be completed around POC * Due to high volume of operation and training exercises, the Base Clean-Up opportunities are available at each Command s day/time convenience during the Days of Service. Some events also include free lunch or breakfast, so please make sure to read carefully to see if you need to bring a lunch. There will be a cooler and ice available to store the lunches.
