2 DALLAS, TEXAS INFORMATION Dallas is served by two airports, Dallas/Fort Worth International (D/FW) and Love Field. D/FW is located half-way between Dallas and Fort Worth and is served by most major airlines and is the choice for international travelers. Denver is also an international airport. There are several hotels in Dallas close to our facility that may offer a shuttle van. There are others but these are some that students have used in the past. Digital camera A Comprehensive Guide to Oriental & Specialty Rug Cleaning (if you don t have it, one will be provided at class) Upon your arrival at the hotel, arrange for their complimentary van service to leave each morning at 7:30 a.m. to bring you to Oriental Rug Cleaning Co., 3907 Ross Ave. and to pick you up at 5:00 p.m. each day. Class will start at 8:00 a.m. and lunch will be served each day at the plant. Class will be over on Thursday, no later than 5pm and most likely earlier.

3 DOWNTOWN DENVER, COLORADO HOTELS Expedia will give you all sorts of great options in Lower Downtown Denver. Prices vary some are outright expensive but quality and the surrounding neighborhoods are great. These are all located near Union Station, a vibrant neighborhood of good restaurants, bars, and shops. It s also exactly 32 minutes from the airport by light rail (train every 15 minutes) so a car is not really a necessity. A few of those hotels: Hotel Born: Kimpton The Crawford The Oxford Hotel The Maven Hotel Native Hotel Less expensive options for hotels that are convenient to our location (2151 W56th Ave., Denver) are as follows. Most of these are within 1-2 miles of our location; too far to walk, but a short Uber/Cab ride. Food and services near these hotels are sparse. Clarion Hotel Denver Central Radison Hotel Denver Central La Quinta In Denver Central Priced in the middle and possibly the most convenient option is the Residence Inn by Marriot 29 th and Zuni street. Located exactly three miles south of our building the Residence Inn offers a shuttle service that will take you to our place. Rooms are suites with kitchenets and sleep four. Three blocks north all along 32 nd Ave. - are about 25 diverse bars and restaurants located in an old gentrified neighborhood. 20-minute walk to Downtown. 1

4 ATTRACTIONS Denver Art Museum -100 West 14th Ave. Pkwy, (720) Clifford Stills Museum Bannock St., (720) Colorado History Museum Broadway, (303) Denver Public Library - 10 West 14th Ave., (720) th Street Mall - Restaurants, Shopping at the Denver Pavilions, Movie Theaters, Bowling. Free Shuttle up and down the 16 th Street Mall. RINO Neighborhood The River North neighborhood is a gentrified area of 100 year-old warehouses filled with interesting shops, galleries, bars and restaurants. A large area one could easily spend a few hours, or an evening exploring. Hip, young, and interesting. Cherry Creek Shopping District Mainstream shopping in Denver most exclusive shopping district. The Denver Aquarium Water Street Main: (303) RESTAURANTS I have just put names and a few comments. Read the reviews on your phone for locations and more. Some are right in the neighborhoods where you might be staying. Others are a drive but are worth the trip. Sushi Den / Izakaya Den: Sister restaurants and the best sushi in Denver. Sushi Sasa: Best sushi in downtown area The Kitchen: New American Jax Fish: Surprisingly good, casual. DUO: New American Oceanaire Seafood: Like a steak house, but with fish. Acorn: modern American cooking, good. Tavernetta: Lower Downtown Italian, expensive and good. Uncle: Ramen by guys with tattoos. Good, not expensive. Rosenbergs Bagles and Deli: Good. Prost Brewery: Authentic German brewery (really). 2
