3 The Hotel Excelsior was built at the turn of the century, the realised desire of visionary entrepreneur Nicolo Spada and worldclass architect Giovanni Sardi. It opened on July 21st 1908 to great acclaim, with a lavish oceanfront party for over 3,000 guests from around the globe. Its creators aimed to transform Venice Lido into a fashionable, glamorous destination for the discerning traveller both national and international, utilising its unique beach setting, ample space and breathtaking views to maximum effect. After 18 months of building work, their dream resort was complete: a grand, Belle Epoque style palazzo featuring elaborate Moorish design elements, with manicured gardens, an immaculate sandy beach and endless rows of private cabanas on one side and the emerald waters of the Venice Lagoon to the other. The hotel quickly became a Lido landmark, the must visit destination for the rich, famous and often royal. Today, over a century since its glorious opening, this 5star destination remains an idyllic retreat for those seeking hospitality, luxury and glamour rarely seen since the Golden Age. 5 EVENT SPACES VERSATILE LOCATIONS TO SUIT ALL PURPOSES The Red Carpet auditorium was purposebuilt in a theatrical style to ensure perfect acoustics, and can be set up to include the latest technology, projectors, screens and surround sound. Just a step across the hall is our Sala Stucchi, a magnificent Baroque ballroom featured in numerous hit films, as Once Upon a Time in America, ideal for pre or postmeeting meals; this light, airy room can be set up in a range of ways and is often used for presentations during the Venice Film Festival. For more intimate gatherings, we offer several smaller boardrooms and complimentary Wi Fi is available throughout the building. During the warmer months, our beach front terrace can also be used for meetings; equipment and seating can be set up al fresco, or we can provide a canopy, tent, gazebo or other structure. Your imagination is the limit. The Torcello and Burano meeting rooms are ideal for smaller meetings, with a capacity of 60 guests each, while the nearby Murano room can host up to 25 persons or be used as office space.

6 ELIMAR BEACH BAR & RESTAURANT TRENDY AND EXOTIC Elimar is the new restaurant and bar located on the beach level, where you can enjoy private functions day and night with a feast for the senses. The chic beach restaurant seats 250 guests, spilling onto an outside terrace overlooking the sea and the historical cabanas. Elimar is the ideal place to gather for cocktail receptions up to 450 people, accompanied by our DJ set music performances.
