2 Invitation Chères amies télémarkeuses, Chers amis télémarkeurs, On behalf of the International Ski Federation and the British Ski and Snowboard, the Organizing Committee in Pralognan-La-Vanoise-Savoie France, is pleased to invite all the National Telemark Federations to attend the FIS TELEMARK WORLD CUP 2018 on the 12 th and 13 th of January. This event closes the «French Tour» including the Coupe de France FIS to be held in Les Houches and Les Saisies on the 6 th and 7 th of January. Please note that we are also offering full board accommodation and training stadiums at a competitive price before and after the World Cup races (from the 6 th of January to the 20 th of January). Thank-you, The Organizing Committee General information PLV is situated between La Plagne and Les 3 Vallées ski areas. It is a preserved Savoie ski resort that hosted the curling events during the 1992 Olympic Games. A few triumphs have grown from this land with Michel Vion (World Champion in slalom and combined 1982 and today s French Ski Federation President) and Sébastien Amiez (Olympic silver medalist in slalom 2002, silver medalist at the World Championships 1997). PLV has organized many major sporting events since and to be mentionned most recently, the British Telemark Championships were successfully held here last winter 2017! PLV, which is nested in the heart of the 1st french National Park, is the Vanoise Capital. Nature here is Grand with more than 20 summits peaking above 3000m - the best known being La Grande Casse. For more than 100 years we have been welcoming holiday-makers and today the people here are proud to rise to the challenge of organizing the World Cup to top standards and enthusiastic about greeting all of you and making the event a real village festivity!

3 Organization The Organizing Committee will host 2 events of the Telemark World Cup in accordance with the International Ski Competition Rules of the FIS. All athletes, trainers and leaders are responsible for their own insurance. The Organizing Committee has suscribed to a third party insurance. All athletes must have signed the FIS Athelete s Declaration. In the event of an accident on the race courses or on the training courses the Ski Patrol Service personnel will be responsible for any medical decision or evacuation to the local hospital.

From Wednesday 10 th of January dinner to Saturday 13 th of January lunch: We offer a package including full board accommodation and ski pass to the current FIS price of 110 CHF per day. From Saturday 6 th of January dinner to Wednesday 10th of January lunch and from Saturday 13 th of January dinner to Saturday 20 th of January lunch: We offer a package including full board accommodation, ski pass and access to the training stadiums (following the stadium timetable) for under 3 days = 110 CHF per pax/day for 3 days and over = 85 CHF per pax/day. We ask that you fill in the registration form here attached please. The amounts due are to be paid in Euros based on the exchange rate of the 1 st of December 2017.

5 Competitions Accreditation and Race Office The race office is located at the Office de Tourisme in PLV. It s opening hours are: & à days a week Signs posts in the village will help you find your way there. Team captains meeting room The team captains meetings will be held in the cinema located in the arrival area. Ceremony Organization An opening ceremony will be held Thursday 11 th of January at 18:00 in the village square. All teams are to be present. A presentation of the top ranking ladies and men will be made. The bibs for the Classic Sprint will be drawn. Other ceremonies are detailed in the attached programme. Waxing Rooms The waxing rooms for all teams are located at the Olympic Ice rink in a 130m 2 hall. A key shall be handed to each team captain. A 20 guarantee shall be demanded. Streaming Live streaming of both events shall be broadcasted by Tele Ho. Our partner for the event; Dailymotion will relay the content on social network. Television Broadcasting Tele Ho will produce clips to broadcasting quality. Our presse agency Duodecim will relay to national and regional News whilst our distributor Philippe Savoyat will relay 26 min event clips to international, national and regional television. Tour of France France is offering a tour to complete the TWC event in Pralognan-La-Vanoise.
