2 INVITATION TO 2017 INAS World Cross Country Championships Epernay- France 7 th December to 11 th December 2017 Dear sportsfriends, Epernay, France, The Organising Committee supported by FFSA, the French Federation of Adapted Sport and INAS the International Sports Federation for Persons with Intellectual Impairment, have the pleasure to invite you to the 2017 INAS World Cross Country Championships that will take place Epernay, France, from Thursday the 7 th of December to the 11 th of December. Below here is the following information: Registration fee including capitation tax per person, accommodation from Thursday night (December the 7 th) until after breakfast (Monday 11th ) and the registration fee for the competition itself: 400 euros by person. Transportation will be provided from Paris Gaulle Airport Terminal 2 to Reims on Thursday December the 7th, and from Reims to Paris CDG Airport Terminal 2 on Monday December 11th. Eligibility of athletes: all participants should be eligible and be registered to the INAS Master List no later than the final entry date. 3 1 st INFORMATION 1. ORGANISATION FFSA, French Sports Federation for Persons with Mental impairment 2. STATUS - Sanctioned by INAS - International Federation for Intellectual Impairment Sport 3. DATE 7 th of December to 11 th December TRAVEL MAP Epernay city, in Champagne-Ardenne District, situated about 150 km east from Paris (international airport: 1h30 drive, 45min by TGV train) 5. AIRLINES Direct flights from several international main airports to Paris (Charles de Gaulle or Orly) airports. Organising Committee will provide transportation s round trip to airports on Thursday 7th, and on Monday 11 th, as well as during the championship. 6. SPORTS COMPETITION FACILITIES In Epernay on Friday and Sunday in Reims. 7. ACCOMMODATION and MEALS The accommodation is planned at the regional sport learning and training centre in Reims, which includes sport areas, and restaurant. Twin rooms with two single beds will be available Restaurant prepares French cooking meals. Proximity to the site: 3 km from city center, bus stop at 3 km from town, 1 km from TGV station. PROVISIONAL SCHEDULING PROGRAMME We propose the following schedule: Day 1 Thursday December 7 th Welcome and accreditation of participants. Training Technical meeting Day 2 Friday December 8 th AM: Male and Female cross country event Day 3 Saturday 9t h AM: Training PM: Spare time (guided tour of Reims and neighbourhood, entertainment,) Day 4 Sunday December 10th Competition (all day) Male and Female cross long event Closing ceremony Farewell party Day 5 Monday December 11th Departure of delegations 3after breakfast 9. SPORT RULES AND REGULATIONS According to the INAS rules 10. MEDICAL SERVICE There will be a permanent medical service available during the competition. 11. ANTI-DOPING CONTROLS ANTI-DOPING checks will be set up in accordance with WADA regulation. Athlete requiring a TEU should apply to INAS no later than 21 days before competition. 12. PARTICIPANTS No limited number of participants per country. 13. INAS-FID TAX Entry fee include the INAS capitation tax per person for all members of the delegation (athletes, coaches and staff). 14. ENTRY FEE 400 euros per person including accommodation, local transport, and capitation tax. The first meal is the dinner on Thursday 7 th December. The last meal is breakfast on Monday 11 th of December. Payment is to be made in Euros. You are responsible for paying all bank charges, including transfer fees.
