The geochemistry dt is derived from ew lyses of smples collected i the 198s by the MRF, i three differet regiol surveys. This project is the very first exmple of the type of collbortive effort tht my come out of the specific 3-yer greemet (i effect sice April 1, 28) cocluded betwee the MRF d the Miistère du Développemet écoomique, de l Iovtio et de l Exporttio, the Miistère de l Emploi et de l Solidrité socile, the Miistère des Affires muiciples et des Régios, the Coférece régiole des élus de l Côte-ord, Hydro-Québec, the regiol ACCORD committee, d filly, the CPDM who is the pricipl get. Project Descriptio d Methodology of 1 smple per 2.5 km2 (Figure 1). A totl of 11,286 smples were thus re-lyzed withi the scope of this ew project. The re orth of could ot be covered, sice the smples were ot vilble. These smples hve lredy bee re-lyzed, specificlly for titium detectio by QIT, uder greemet with the MRF. Smples were lyzed t AcmeLbs fcilities i Vcouver. A totl of 53 elemets were lyzed by iductively coupled plsm mss spectrometry (ICP-MS) followig qu regi digestio. The results re illustrted o vrious mps provided i this report, which were creted usig the grid optio for the Crete themtic mp fuctio i MpIfo versio 9.5. The mps were geerted usig the iverse distce squred iterpoltio method, bsed o serch rdius of 6 km d squre cells of 3 m x 3 m. For ech elemet, grdes were grouped bsed o percetile rges, mely from to 8, 8 to 9, 9 to 95, 95 to 98, 98 to 99, d 99 to 1. Ares of Iterest The results clerly outlie res of potetil iterest for explortio. Of course, y umber of elemets could hve bee discussed t this time. However, sice the purpose of this publictio is to rpidly relese this ew dt, we chose to illustrte oly the te most sigifict elemets, mely Au, As, Cu, L, Mo, b, i, Pt, Th, d U. The gold mp shows importt omly cetred o the kehm Terre (Figure 2). Two prllel omlies tredig orth-south re clerly visible. This geologicl zoe hs log bee recogized for its polymetllic d gold occurreces. A strog rseic omly is lso preset i this re, slightly offset reltive to the gold omly. The ew dt covers the Migie d Bsse-Côte-ord regiol couty muiciplities (MRC), for totl surfce re of more th 13, km2. 3 The urium mp shows extesive omlous domi, from the cetre of the re followig rcute sigture towrd the est (Figure 4). This re correspods to the Mecti orthositic Suite. I the west prt of the mp, other omly is lso visible d coicides with omlies i copper, lthum, d iobium. The ltter my idicte the presece of Fe oxide-type mierliztio. The thorium mp shows o positive correltios with urium, which mkes the urium omlies tht much more iterestig i terms of ore deposit models. I the cse of molybdeum, the results suggest the presece of severl smll omly zoes (Figure 5), some of which re ssocited with urium. I fct, the rcute sigture correspodig to the Mecti orthositic Suite is lso visible o the molybdeum mp. A extesive b omly is clerly visible i the cetre of the mp re (Figure 5). It is probbly ssocited with the west prt of the kehm Terre. I the est prt of the mp, log the Sit Lwrece River, smller omly is visible, ssocited with the Bie-des-Moutos syeite. Filly, for rre erth elemets, which re represeted here by lthum, well-defied omlies re outlied (Figure 5).
