Friday we all arrived safely to enjoy ourselves and each other s company. Natal Region had 18 vans and we welcome our visitors with Bruce and Jean; Michael & Chantele; Rowan, Melissa & Deanne and with Shane and Zelna: Louis & Kylie for the weekend. Once everyone settled, some enjoyed a tasty meal supplied by Alfred County Saturday we were woken up early by the Egyptian geese making a noise in the trees near to us and later we gathered for the flag raising ceremony to open Rally Natal amid wind and fine rain. The only games to be played were the kids games held in the hall as the rain and wind did not let up for most the day. This resulted in us cancelling the Banana Games, much to everyone s disappointment. Nonetheless, thank you to the members that prepared for the games. On Saturday evening we had a lovely meal and awesome live entertainment. Natal Region kept the dance floor alive along with the entertainer and intermittent lucky draws of which most our members got prizes. Sunday morning dawned upon us and yet again the geese made their presence heard. Alfred County put on an amazing car race of which some of our members took part and really enjoyed it and said they saw places they did not know existed down there. Jeff Mitchell and family got a prize for the most kilometers done in the race; they seemed to have done the track twice over. Other members went out and did a little exploring of their own. Unfortunately nasty gusts of wind came up causing most to secure their awnings but unfortunately our visitor s tents were damaged. We are so sorry about this but hope you will be up and ready for the next rally. Later in the evening we had a communal braai, which should have been a bring and braai but due to the weather people braaied and went back to their vans. Monday morning the rained stayed away, and most did not want to take a chance and packed up early and were gone by 9.30am with exception of Shane and Zelna that stayed on for an extra few days. Hope to see you all at the next rally at Eagle View next weekend. Please give your intentions to Charmaine and don t forget your goodies for the old age home collection. RALLY REPORT LEISURE VIEW (Rally Natal) What a lovely scenic drive down to Leisure View Caravan Resort.

Saturday was raining and windy and very miserable but being natal region, we all made the best of it. There were fires going and people were huddled under rally awnings to sit and chat.

Thereafter, we helped put the tables away and put the chairs out for church on Sunday morning.

2 RALLY REPORT LEISURE VIEW (Rally Natal) What a lovely scenic drive down to Leisure View Caravan Resort. We arrived in sunny hot weather but alas the afternoon wore on, it became more cloudy and overcast. Those that ordered hamburgers for dinner had to run in the rain and collect their dinner. Saturday was raining and windy and very miserable but being natal region, we all made the best of it. There were fires going and people were huddled under rally awnings to sit and chat. Saturday night was a lovely dinner and dance and a raffle where nearly everyone received a prize and of course Natal Region outdid themselves again and were the last to leave the dance floor. Thereafter, we helped put the tables away and put the chairs out for church on Sunday morning. Sunday the sun came out again and everyone made the best of it and went on drives and along the way stopping at Mac Bananas and some went off to eat at the famous Waffle House in Ramsgate whilst others sat at the camp and enjoyed the company. Friendlies was held on Sunday afternoon and everyone shared in a bring and braai. A lovely weekend was had by all with thanks to Alfred County for hosting. Monday dawned cloudy but no rain and everyone was packing up early so as not to get wet tents and rally awnings but thankfully the rain stayed away albeit the wind came up but thankfully it was a tail wind to help us along the way. Our next rally is Eagle View where Tim and Evelyn will be marshals. PLEASE TAKE NOTE THAT INTENTIONS AND PAYMENT ARE TO BE MADE BY FRIDAY 06 OCTOBER TO CHARMAINE.
