Tribal Adventures provide a fantastic opportunity for women to experience the great outdoors at its best, while embracing a challenge or trying something new! Our activity days and weekend trips are perfect for individuals who want to have an adventure in the company of other females, for those wanting a boost in their fitness and weight loss goals, for groups of friends who d like to get away from it all, for the active Hen Party, and for workplace colleagues who d benefit from the team building experience. Your Tribal Chiefs Nikki Jarvis Nikki is the Head Chief at Tribal Fitness and has not only worked in the health and fitness industry for over 15 years, but is also very passionate about helping women experience the abundance of joy and challenges that can be found in the great outdoors. Nikki has taken part in many adventures of her own, including hiking over glaciers, sky diving, trekking across Peru, swimming with wild dolphins and completing a round the world trip. Joe Higgins Joe is a fully qualified mountain leader and activities instructor, with years of experience and knowledge under his belt. He has a passion for all outdoor activities on land and water! He will enthuse you on each and every Tribal Adventure, as well as teaching you new skills along the way. With plenty of laughs thrown in for free, you will leave exhilarated and proud of your achievements. So, grab your walking boots and waterproofs and enjoy getting back to nature with Tribal Fitness. 5 Autumn The end of summer doesn t mean you have to lock yourself up for the winter. We ve got a packed programme in autumn, including a spectacular moon-lit night hike in the Mountains of Mourne. 6 Adventures Most adventures are suitable for complete beginners, however a certain level of fitness is required for particular trips, so please feel free to contact Nikki prior to booking to discuss your individual needs. Specialist equipment will be provided, however you are required to own some personal kit for your adventures, which is listed below. Items include waterproofs as we don t let a bit of rain stop us! So remember There is no such thing as bad weather just bad clothing! Mourne Hikes Embrace the natural beauty of the Mournes with one of our day hikes. A variety of routes guarantees you will never be disappointed with spectacular views and a sense of achievement. Suitable for beginner hikers although a good base level of fitness is required. Kit Required: Walking boots/shoes, waterproofs, daysack. Rock Scrambling Get the blood pumping and the adrenaline flowing, and feel alive on one of our scrambling days in the Mournes. Challenge yourself and do something different! Suitable for beginners although a base level of fitness is required. Kit required: Walking boots/shoes/sturdy trainers, waterproofs, daysack. Night Hikes Be one of the few people to experience the Mournes by night! Join us on a guided hike from the Annalong Valley to the summit of Slieve Donard by moonlight and embrace the amazing sense of achievement as you stand on the top of Northern Ireland around midnight. Suitable for beginners although a base level of fitness is required. Kit Required: Walking boots/shoes, waterproofs, head torch, daysack. Abseiling/Climbing Learn new skills and challenge yourself with a day of abseiling and rock climbing in the Mournes. Suitable for beginners although a base level of fitness is required. 7 Canoeing Learn the skills of canoeing and enjoy a day with the girls on the water. No previous experience is required. Suitable for complete beginners. Kit Required: Clothes you don t mind getting a bit wet! Kit Provided: All specialist equipment such as canoes and life jackets are provided and included in the price. Weekends Away Really get away from it all and put some adventure back in your life with one of our adventure weekends. Join us in Donegal, Westport or Kerry to have a great day on the hill. Summit the mountain and then enjoy a relaxing evening with the girls over a meal and a few drinks before heading back to comfortable accommodation. A reasonable to good level of fitness in required. Kit Required: Walking boots/shoes, waterproofs, daysack. Mournes Expedition Join us for the ultimate Mournes experience with our overnight expedition. Hike through the Annalong valley with the opportunity to try some caving (optional), summit Slieve Binnian, before setting up camp in the forest to enjoy craic around the camp fire before settling in to your tent under the stars. Suitable for beginners, although a good base of fitness is required. Kit Required: Walking boots/shoes, waterproofs, sleeping bag, roll mat, daysack and a sense of adventure. Kit Provided: Camp materials including tents and cooking stoves, as well as ration pack evening meal and breakfast, are provided and included in the price. 3 Peaks Challenge Join us for The Big One. Actually, The Big Three! Take on the highest mountains in Scotland, England and Wales over a long weekend. A reasonably good level of fitness is required to take on this challenge as you will be hiking three summits over three consecutive days! Kit Required: Hiking boots/shoes, waterproofs, daysack. 8 Family Days Spend time with your young family surrounded by nature, with one of our educational nature days. Open to children of all ages, but best suited for 4-10 year olds.
