Elk-Ender Ender News The Prez Sez The Prez Sez April, 2009 It is an honor to be elected to the office of President of the Garden Grove Elk Enders.

Last year s officers and committee chairpersons did an outstanding job and because of their work, the 2009 2010 campout schedule is full and most of the committee positions are filled.

Alex Gonzalez, last year s General Wagon Master, completed the new campout schedule and recruited wagon masters and assistants for all but one of the campouts.

1 Elk-Ender Ender News The Prez Sez The Prez Sez April, 2009 It is an honor to be elected to the office of President of the Garden Grove Elk Enders. April 1 st will be my first meeting as your president and with your assistance, we will have another great year of camping experiences and social activities. Last year s officers and committee chairpersons did an outstanding job and because of their work, the campout schedule is full and most of the committee positions are filled. The position of General Wagon Master is still open and we hope to fill that job at the April meeting. Alex Gonzalez, last year s General Wagon Master, completed the new campout schedule and recruited wagon masters and assistants for all but one of the campouts. Alex s work makes the job of the new General Wagon Master much easier for this year. For health reasons, Ronnie Renish cannot continue his position as Historian. My wife, Debbie has volunteered to take the job of Historian for the year. Debbie s request to all members is to forward the photos you take at Elk Ender events to her (at our address) for the scrapbook she is responsible for. Our next official campout is Newport Dunes on March For those who do not like to travel too far, this is the ideal campout. John and Annette Zahn have arranged for a Duffy Boat cruise in the Newport Bay for those attending the event. They are providing some wine, cheese and crackers, but feel free to bring hot chocolate or cider and munchies for the cruise. Have guests write their name on a quart-size Ziploc freezer bag with permanent marker. They taste good and the kids love to cook-em. Crack 2 eggs (large or extra-large) into a bag and shake to combine them. Put out a variety of ingredients such as: cheeses, ham, onion, green pepper, tomato, salsa, etc. Each guest adds prepared ingredients of choice to their bag and shake. Make sure to get the air out of the bag and zip it up. Place the bags into rolling, boiling water for exactly 13 minutes. You can usually cook 6-8 omelets in a large pot. For more, make another pot of boiling water. Open the bags and the omelet will roll out easily. Nice to serve with hash browns, fresh fruit, coffee, etc. 9
