[HONG KONG, 26 June, 2017] Acclaimed by the New York Post as a feel-good show with a big joyous heart, PRISCILLA QUEEN OF THE DESERT, THE MUSICAL is the most fun you can have in the theatre. Debuting in Hong Kong on 29 September, its overwhelming popularity has already led to a season extension of 8 extra shows, with no further extension possible! In addition, the show boasts a glittering array of over 500 outrageous and colourful costumes as well as 200 extraordinary headdresses; there are sequins galore, feathers, faux fur, leather, sparkling spandex, platform boots and even a show-stopping giant shoe encrusted in no fewer than 2,500 glittering crystals! Based on the Oscar-winning hit movie, PRISCILLA QUEEN OF THE DESERT, THE MUSICAL has won numerous awards along the way, including a prestigious Olivier Award from London s West End and a Tony Award from Broadway, both for Best Costume Design. Lizzy Gardiner, co-designer for PRISCILLA s costumes, is good at finding certain objects and turning them into wearable clothes, such as the flip-flop dress (left). It is no surprise that she got to wear a dress made entirely of Gold American Express cards (right) at the 1994 Academy Awards, where she won an Oscar for Best Costume Design for the original film.

He will play Mitzi/Tick in PRISCILLA. Phillip Schnetler Felicia/Adam Phillip Schnetler brings his experience from professional productions that include The Wonderful Wizard of Oz for NCT, Peter Pan, Jesus The Musical, and Annie, to playing the role of Felicia/Adam.
