1 Colorado State Patrol Family Foundation Board of s Meeting 55 Wadsworth Boulevard Lakewood, CO MINUTES OF THE BOARD Thursday, August 17, 2017 President Brett Mattson called a regular meeting of the Board of s of the Colorado State Patrol Family Foundation (hereafter referred to as the Foundation ) to order at 9:21am on Thursday, August 17, Foundation s Present: Brett Mattson Carole Adler Chris Augustine Colonel Scott Hernandez Larry Oletski Foundation s Absent: Jill Distel Foundation Staff Present: John Anderson Katie Maselbas President Vice President Secretary/Treasurer (GoToMeeting) Ex-Officio Director Administrator Approval of Previous Meeting Minutes To approve the meeting minutes from the June 8, 2017 meeting as presented Page 1 of 5

2 Treasurer s Report John reviewed the Foundation s January-June financials with the Board To approve the financial statements as presented UNFINISHED BUSINESS Actionable Items from June Board reviewed the remaining actionable items from the June 2017 meeting and they will be revisited at the October meeting, if needed To establish a fund that will award $5, to the family of any Level One Peace Officer in Colorado who is killed in the line of duty, and assist with funeral expenses up to $5,000.00, if requested Larry Oletski To seed the Foundation s fund with $25, from previous Colorado Grand donations NEW BUSINESS Memorial Roping Fundraiser Board discussed the Memorial Roping Fundraiser via on July 31, 2017,, Chris Augustine, Jill Distel,,, Larry Oletski and participated in the discussion To donate the funds raised from the Memorial Roping Fundraiser equally between Trooper Donahue and Trooper Jursevics families Page 2 of 5

3 Chevrolet Corvair Board discussed the auctioning of the Chevrolet Corvair, which the net proceeds benefitted Trooper Jursevics family Colonel s Challenge Recap Board discussed the details of the 2017 Colonel s Challenge event Colorado Grand Board discussed the upcoming Colorado Grand event, which s will attend, and the status of gifts for the participants CSPFF Audit John reported on the status of the 2016 audit CSPFF Support of Idaho Springs Elks Lodge Board discussed supporting the Idaho Springs Elks Lodge annual Lyle Wohlers Horseshoe Tournament To donate $ to the 2018 Idaho Springs Elks Lodge Lyle Wohlers Horseshoe Tournament Board discussed supporting the Montrose Elks Lodge golf tournament via on July 7, 2017 Brett Mattson,,, Carole Adler, Jill Distel,, Larry Oletski and participated in the discussion To sponsor a hole at the 2017 Montrose Elks Lodge golf tournament for $ Carole Adler Page 3 of 5

5 Kentucky Safe Driver John provided an update on the Kentucky Safe Driver project and the Board discussed the proposed budget for the program To approve the Kentucky Safe Driver budget proposal, as presented Eight votes for, one vote against; Motion carries Round Table Discussion Board discussed the Blue Line Cruise, CSP Museum effort, federal and state death benefits for officers killed in the line of duty, the status of an injured Trooper, and a request from the property owner to the south of the Foundation office Foundation Board of s Meeting Adjournment To adjourn the August 17, 2017 Foundation Board of s meeting at 12:46pm Chris Augustine The next regular meeting of the Colorado State Patrol Family Foundation Board of s will be held on Thursday, October 12, 2017 at 9:00am at 55 Wadsworth Boulevard.
